A study of 1,000 US consumers found that back-to-school shoppers are cutting back on expenses, with 57% not planning to purchase new laptops, desktops, tablets or mobile devices, and 82% being very or extremely concerned with saving money. Additionally, 61% said they would try to fix a slow computer themselves rather than pay for repairs, and if buying a new computer, consumers are 300% more likely to select a laptop over a desktop.
