This document discusses feeling awe and wonder at God's creation. It notes several signs that one may not be living in awe, such as being easily bored or ungrateful. It then provides examples of God's awesome design in the universe, galaxies, stars, human body, cells, DNA, and more. The document encourages feeling thankful for God's creation and listening to His Son Jesus. It concludes by calling the reader to have faith in Jesus and obey His final command to make disciples of all nations.

The Deadly Duo of Burdens: Guilt and Grief - Rob Ferry 5-29-16DenverCoC
So far in our series we have looked laying down the burdens of a lesser God, self-reliance, want (envy), weariness, and worry. Today we tackle the deadly duo of burdens: Guilt and Grief. Only God is able to provide relief from these burdens. Join us today in Psalm 23:3-4 to learn how to lighten your load and start living your life again.
Just like taking care of a garden, a Christian must care for their own development.
Presented by Tim Martens, July 18, 2020, at United Church of God in Northwest Arkansas.
What is so significant of the title Christ? Christ is not just Jesus’ second or last name. The true meaning of Christ is just not Savior, Deliverer or Messiah but “THE Anointed One”. There were three offices in the Old Testament that were traditionally anointed. These three offices include prophets, priests, and kings. Jesus, The Anointed One fulfills the anointed roles as prophet, priest and king perfectly.

As Christians, we need to know why we believe what we believe, so when we are witnessing to the unbelieving world we can knowledgeably explain Genesis and the creation story, because the rest of the Bible has its foundation in Genesis. If people don’t understand Creation and the Fall of Man in the garden of Eden, they won’t be able to see their need for a Savior. This presentation will give the viewer some foundational information that he can use in the debate of creation vs. evolution.

Class 1 of a series called the Consummation, a Reformed view of end times or eschatology. This is being taught at Christ Presbyterian Church, 495 Terrell Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30067. This class will be taught at 10am on January 15, 2017.
Tony looks at the prayers of church in Revelation and compares them to the prayers of the angels. The difference shines the light on a radical humanism - because the church (ie humanity) sees so much more than the angels do, and is closer to the heart of God. This opens the door to a radical humanism based on the incarnation of Jesus.
This is the fourth and last message in the sermon series for March 2017 at Abundant Life Fellowship in Chesapeake, VA. The Lord gave me great grace to prepare and give this message. Some of the best of what I have learned and lived in the last 70 years is in this message on this topic. I hope it gives you insight into how an all-powerful God sees the suffering of His people.
Do you believe God created the Universe? This is the third in a PowerPoint Series on Genesis. Please feel free to download, adjust and use in your teaching or Sermons at www.BibleGuy.org

I also read this, during the slide with the pictures of the holocaust...
"An elderly German man who lived through the Holocaust tells the following story:
I always considered myself a Christian. I attended a church since I was a small boy. We had heard the stories of what was happening to the Jews; but like most people in America today, we tried to distance ourselves from the reality of what was really taking place. What could anyone do to stop it?
A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning we would hear the whistle from a distance and then the clacking of the wheels moving over the track. We became disturbed when one Sunday we heard cries coming from the train as it passed by. We grimly realized that the train was carrying Jews.
Week after week that train whistle would blow. We would dread to hear the sound of those old wheels because we knew that the Jews would begin to cry out to us as they passed our church. It was so terribly disturbing! We could do nothing to help these poor people, yet their screams tormented us. We knew exactly at what time that whistle would blow, and we decided the only way to keep from being so disturbed by the cries was to start singing our hymns. It some of the screams reached our ears, we'd just sing a little louder until we could hear them no more.
Years have passed, and no one talks about it much any more; but I still hear that train whistle in my sleep. I can still hear them crying out for help. God forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians, yet did nothing to intervene."
4. YOU ARE NOT LIVING IN
AWE IF…
You are bored easily
You tend to be unimpressed or ungrateful
You don’t enjoy seeing beautiful sunsets
You don’t remember the last time you looked up at the
stars
You aren’t excited to hear God speak or to speak to God
You spend a lot of time worrying or complaining
5. DEUTERONOMY 10:17, 20
“The LORD your God is…Lord of
lords, the great God, mighty and
awesome…Hold fast to Him.”
6. PSALM 47 & 48
“The Lord Most High is
AWESOME. He is the Great
King of all the earth…God
reigns above the nations…He
is the Great Lord.”
7. PSALM 113 & 114
“The Lord is high above the
nations; His glory is higher
than the heavens…Tremble, O
earth, at the presence of the
Lord…Praise the LORD!”
11. DID YOU KNOW?
There are between 100 and 170
billion galaxies in the observable
universe.
There are between 100 trillion and
a septillion stars (maybe more).
14. ROMANS 1:20
“Ever since the creation of the world
God’s invisible qualities—His eternal
power and divine nature—have been
clearly seen, being understood from
what has been made, so that men are
without excuse.”
15. DID YOU KNOW?
Every hormone circulating in the
bloodstream will fit snugly inside the
appropriate receptacle. Imagine a wind
storm blowing all the mail for Chicago
down a five mile stretch of the Outer
Drive in that city, yet every letter and
package is able to sort itself out and
end up in the correct mailbox.
16. DID YOU KNOW?
Merely turning to speak to a passenger while
driving a car takes billions of neurons.
Every human body contains between 10 and 75
trillion cells. Every cell contains one billion
compounds. That’s 75 sextillion
(75,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) compounds per
person—among these are 5 million proteins. Each
cell has an assigned location, a lifetime role,
hundreds of complex tasks to accomplish, and each
cell is programmed to take care of its own needs
and coordinate activities with billions of other cells
in throughout the body every second.
18. DID YOU KNOW?
Everything that transpires in the human body is
controlled by the 3 billion base pairs that make
up the 100,000 genes that form the 23 paired
chromosomes within the nucleus of nearly every
cell. The amount of information stored within a
single nucleus is equal to 1000 encyclopedias,
each with 1000 pages. Multiply that times 35
billion cells in the brain, not to mention the 10 or
more trillion cells in a single body, and the
amount of information moving about the body
each second becomes astronomical.
19. DID YOU KNOW?
It takes several million cells just to move a
finger.
Pound for pound, bones are stronger than
steel, yet they are much lighter for
mobility purposes.
It takes more than 50 muscles to make
facial expressions; 32 to smile; 12 to move
our eyes.
23. LUKE 9:29-36
“As He was praying, the appearance of His face
changed, and His clothes became as bright as a
flash of lightening. Two men, Moses and Elijah,
appeared in glorious splendor, talking with
Jesus…A cloud appeared and enveloped them,
and they were afraid…a voice came from the
cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have
chosen; listen to Him.”
26. 1 JOHN 3:23
“We must believe in the name of
His Son, Jesus Christ, and love
one another, just as He
commanded.”
27. JESUS’ FINAL
COMMAND
“Go and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father
and the Son and the Holy
Spirit”-Matthew 28:19
