"A believer is the mirror of his brother. A believer is the brother of another believer. He protects
him against loss and defends him behind his back.“(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 239)
The Prophet PBUH said on hajj:
Know for certain that every Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, and that all Muslims are
brethren. It is not lawful for a person [to take] from his brother except that which he has given
him willingly, so do not wrong yourselves.

If two parties of the believers happen to fight, make peace between them. But then, if one of them
transgresses against the other, fight the one that transgresses until it reverts to Allah's command.
And if it does revert, make peace between them with justice, and be equitable for Allah loves the
equitable. (Surah Al-Hujrat: 9)
The Prophet PBUH said:
Once the people of Quba fought with each other till they threw stones on each other. When Allah's
Apostle was informed about it, he said, "Let us go to bring about a reconciliation between them.“
(Sahih al-Bukhari 2693)

Believers, let not a group (of men) scoff at another group, it may well be that the latter (at
whom they scoff) are better than they; nor let a group of women scoff at another group, it
may well be that the latter are better than they. And do not taunt one another, nor revile
one another by nicknames. It is an evil thing to gain notoriety for ungodliness after belief.
Those who do not repent are indeed the wrong-doers. (Surah Al-Hujrat: 11)

Avoid jealousy between yourselves, do not outbid one another (with a view to raising the
price), do not harbor hatred against one another, do not bear enmity against one another,
one of you should not enter into a transaction when the other has already entered into it;
and be fellow brothers and slaves of Allah. A Muslim is a Muslim’s brother. He does not
wrong, desert or despise him. Piety is found here (pointing three times to his chest),
despising his Muslim brother is enough evil for any man to do. Every Muslim’s blood,
property and honor are unlawful to be violated by another Muslim.”

Believers, avoid being excessively suspicious, for some suspicion is a sin. Do
not spy, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his
dead brother? You would surely detest it. Have fear of Allah. Surely Allah is
much prone to accept repentance, is Most Compassionate.
(Surah Al-Hujrat: 12)

'Beware of suspicion, for it is the worst of false tales and don't look for the other's faults and don't spy and don't hate each
other, and don't desert (cut your relations with) one another O Allah's slaves, be brothers!“ (Sahih al-Bukhari 6724)

• “A backbiter will not enter Paradise.” (Al-Bukhari: 6056)
The Prophet PBUH said:
Do you know what is backbiting? They (the Companions) said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Thereupon he (the Holy
Prophet) said: Backbiting implies your talking about your brother in a manner which he does not like. It was said to him:
What is your opinion about this that if I actually find (that failing) in my brother which I made a mention of? He said: If (that
failing) is actually found (in him) what you assert, you in fact backbited him, and if that is not in him it is a slander. (Sahih
Muslim 2589)

Human beings, We created you all from a male and a female and made you
into nations and tribes so that you may know one another. Verily the
noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most God-fearing of you. Surely
Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

14. Explanation
• "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab
nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority
over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and
good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the
Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim
