Expect quality, service, solutions &savings Throughout the past 50 years AVK has developed to be the only manufacturer with the capability of offering gate valves complying with all major national and international standards including; AS/NZS, ISO, CEN, DIN, NF, BS, AWWA, JWWA, SABS and GOST. Today AVK’s Product Program also includes many other types of valves, hydrants, couplings, pipeline fittings and accessories. The development of AVK’s Product Program is based on the needs and demands of customers world-wide. Close co-operation with customers in the fields of water and gas supply, as well as sewage treatment has given AVK a thorough knowledge of these sectors’ requirements and this is clearly reflected in the innovative design of the products. Ideas and suggestions from many different countries are considered centrally in order to obtain the best possible result for all markets. To extend and maintain the position as one of the world’s foremost valve manufacturers, AVK has invested in an advanced Technology Centre for the development of new products and processes. AVK Technology Centre also ensures that all AVK products are updated to make optimum use of modern materials and production techniques. AVK products are produced in modern factories using high technology computerised machining centres and robots to ensure precision and uniformity together with high quality and competitive prices. AVK resilient seated gate valves are designed using a wedge fully vulcanised with rubber - internally and externally. With this design no unprotected iron parts are exposed to the medium and the excellent rubber vulcanisation prevents creeping corrosion underneath the rubber. The high quality of AVK rubber is characterised by: • High flexibility, no permanent deformation possible • High durability, no wear of the rubber even after 10,000 operation cycles • High impact resistance preventing damage to the rubber surface • Low friction ensuring low closing torque • EPDM rubber resistant to acid remains, NBR rubber resistant to oil remains Gas Supply Gate valves, PE ball valves and accessories.
