Autonomous Cargo Moving, Hermes Terminal
1. AUTONOMOUS CARGO MOVING, HERMES TERMINAL
From hundreds of meters away the Hermes system can
provide precise range, closing speed and bearing data
for last-leg navigation and docking.
2. Hermes is an all-optical autonomous navigation system that
allows UAV’s to carry out cargo missions without placing
military personnel in danger.
Between 2005 and 2011, AOS successfully demonstrated
HERMES’s capabilities on five different helicopter platforms
becoming the first autonomous cargo pick-up and delivery
system.
In Space - During
spacecraft docking, AOS
provides the last 2 km of
guidance.
The last leg of the
journey is always the
most critical – think of all
the applications.
3. We live in a world that is continuously evolving, always
looking for a safer, smarter way to do things.
The Hermes System is a revolutionary step forward in
terminal navigation, cargo pickup and delivery.
The Hermes System takes the person out of the loop:
saving lives, saving money, and saving fuel.
