In today’s Gospel reading, we can see how God takes care
of his people that all ate and were satisfied. On the other
hand, we can see also that once the disciples began to
share the little food they had with those around, it
triggered a similar movement among the crowd. Thus,
when everyone shared, everyone had enough – a picture
of the kind of society the Church should stand for. Where
in my life are there opportunities to “share my food” so

Gathered together, we offer our prayers to God who nourishes us
abundantly with His love. We pray,
Lord, hear our prayer.
For the pope, bishops and priests, that they may satisfy the people’s hungers for
love and justice, for truth and hope by proclaiming with conviction and love the
message of the good news. We pray:
For all the church communities throughout the world, that God may bless their
creative efforts in safely reaching out and providing for the spiritual and material
needs of people during this time of social distancing. We pray:
For all of us yearning for the Sacrament of the Eucharist during this time, that God
