Overview of the Au.D. Program
• 4 year program
– Years 1-3: Coursework and clinical experience
– Year 4: Full-time clinical externship
– Program includes summers
• Coursework
– 112 total hours (includes clinic and capstone
project)
– Foundation/Theory courses lead to advanced
clinical courses
• Clinical Experience
– Equivalent of 12 months of full-time experience
by end of Year 4
– University Clinic, Private Practice, Hearing Aid

Additional Requirements
• Capstone Project
– Supervised research project or review of clinical literature
– Begins Fall Year 2, completed by end of Spring Year 3
– Includes preliminary exam, final exam, and written document
