Conducted by Haya Farah & lilian Abou Zeki on the occasion of AUB NGO conference 30 April 2015 Human centered design (HCD) has emerged as a potent tool during the past 2 decades majorly coined by the founders of IDEO in north America and governmental and public entities across the UK such as the design council. What started out as trying to understand the "designer's methods" of solving problems soon became a replicable methodology used across businesses, NGOs and start-ups to highlight their user's needs, develop insight and innovate their services or models in iterative ways. This workshop is an intro to the world of HCD by putting forward the framework and guidelines that can help NGOs to adopt it in order to optimize their impact.
