Acid attacks are a form of gender-based violence most common in South Asia, especially Bangladesh which reports the highest number of attacks. Perpetrators are often motivated by personal conflicts over intimate relationships or sexual rejection, gang violence, or religious and political motivations. While medical, social, and psychological support can help victims, preventing such attacks requires regulating acid sales, educating the public through media coverage, and strengthening laws against acid attacks and support for victims.

 One of the gender based violence acid attack is most horrific to
women.
Although acid attacks occur all over the world . but this type of
violence is most common in south Asia .
Bangladesh has been reporting the highest number of attack and
highest incident rates for women .
