Server Backup FAQ’s
What is included with online Data Backup Management?
Management of online server data backup includes management and associated licensing to support the following:
•Installation of agents to facilitate data backup
•Setup and configuration of data to be backed up
•Monitoring to ensure proper functioning
•Basic restores of individual files when needed
•Costs associated with rebuilding a network in a disaster are not included

How is data backup overage calculated and billed?
AT&T will review the additional backup on a set day during the month, and across all servers if multiple servers exist. All
usage is added together to determine the total usage, and if the amount exceeds the allocated backup, it will be billed at
the overage rates. This amount will be added to the monthly invoice for their server package.

What does the customer need to do for their backup to be completed – do customers have to schedule their backup?
Once the agent is put on the server to perform the backup, the backup will be performed automatically without intervention.
However, the backup time must be scheduled by the client, and we typically recommend having the backup performed at night.

What Security encryption is used for the Backup:
All data is encrypted in transit and stored in a Tier I Co-Location facility; data is mirrored to a second facility. All data is encrypted on the vault so
no one can access or read. We are also PCI and HIPPA compliant.
Intronis (our backup service) uses 256 AES encryption using managed or non-managed keys depending on customer's needs. NOC (monitoring
tool) uses SSL encryption using 128 bit encrypted key and login portal, with compliance based password policies in place.

What Security is in place to safeguard a client’s server?
•No additional access created to the server from the outside – no risk of someone from outside
•We install a lightweight agent that communicates to us from inside their network to allow us access to the server
•Encrypted and controlled by an IP address so no one else could pick up the signal to break in
•When we access the network it is encrypted and recorded
•All employees are criminally background checked and drug tested
