Thieves are using traps made of X-ray film inside ATM card slots to capture customers' cards and steal their PIN numbers and money. They work in teams, with one person placing the invisible trap while another acts as a lookout. When an unsuspecting customer inserts their card, it gets stuck in the trap. The thief then pretends to help get the card back, but is actually trying to get the PIN. Once the PIN is obtained, the thief returns to retrieve the card from the trap and take money from the account. Customers are advised to check for signs of tampering if their card is confiscated and report any incidents immediately to the bank.
