This document summarizes how ATM thieves operate in teams to steal people's credit cards and PIN numbers. They place transparent film traps inside ATM card slots to capture victims' cards when they insert them. While one thief pretends to help the confused victim recover their card, their accomplice observes to get the PIN number. With both the card and PIN, the thieves can withdraw money from the victim's account. The traps are made of thin, transparent material like x-ray film to be inconspicuous inside the ATM slot.
