    numerous areas. The following subsections describe some of the most important ones.

    Merchant-Inspired Tools
    Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 is designed to work the way merchants want to work. Its
    ergonomic, easy-to-use working environment streamlines common tasks and frees
    merchandisers to quickly respond to changing business dynamics, allowing them to easily
    manage catalogs, promotions, and content.

    The following represent some highlights of the new merchandiser interface:
    •   A user-inspired design includes drag-and-drop editing and other rich-media user tools.
    •   Split panes enlarge workspace and simplify manipulation of multiple assets.
    •   An enhanced toolbar and navigation improve find, sort, filtering, and categorization, making
        it easy to quickly locate items and work with very large catalogs.

    •   Efficient workflows and layout unify catalog operations and site management with
        personalization rules.
    •   Improved editors simplify management of categories and sites.
    •   Enhanced project capabilities enable concurrent management of multiple asset types in a
        single project (for example, a merchant could launch a campaign that includes new
        segments, promotions, and media).
    •   An updated user messaging framework delivers information and error messages without
        interrupting workflow.

    New promotion management capabilities include
    •   A redesigned business user interface that streamlines common promotional tasks
    •   An enhanced, extensible promotion engine that easily supports custom and complex
        promotions
    •   Easy-to-use templates that simplify and speed creation of promotions

    Unified Multisite Capabilities for Commerce Anywhere
    Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 includes the Sites feature, a new multisite architecture and
    administration tool to speed the launch and simplify management of microsites, mobile sites,
    social sites, affiliate sites, international stores, deal-of-the-day sites, private clubs, marketing
    microsites, and in-store applications. With the Sites feature, merchants gain the capability to
    easily share resources such as carts, catalogs, promotions, software components, and
    integrations across sites.

    The new site administration tool of Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 provides the
    following capabilities:
    •   Extends the Business Control Center feature of Oracle ATG Web Commerce with a new
        site administration interface
    •   Provides a site creation interface and site categories to simplify site creation
    •   Improves the management of assets across sites and applications, and enables all sites to use
        resources created for the main Website

    The Unified Multisite Architecture feature of Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10
    •   Allows sites to share commerce and personalization resources including content
        and components
    •   Enables multisite sharing of elements including catalogs, price lists, gift lists, shopping
        carts, and personalization assets
    •   Includes multisite support for segments, content groups, scenarios, personalization rules,
        search and search merchandising, and reporting
    •   Introduces a site grouping capability, providing a flexible way to streamline management of
        similar sites
    •   Offers a new site repository that manages attributes for a registered site
    •   Includes a site category framework to set up properties and editor configurations based on
        the type of site

    Cross-channel selling enhancements include
    •   Updated “refund and exchange” capabilities, including improved refund calculations
    •   Enhanced support for appeasement limits and approvals
    •   New promotion browser to give agents greater visibility and control over promotions
    •   Multisite agent tools with the ability to search products across all sites
    •   Enhanced reporting, which provides insight into call center activities and sales results
    •   New interface to access order history
    •   New gift list and wish list management
