Job description for a real estate assistant

1. This position is an assistant to a real estate agent. There are two areas in which I require assistance.
They can be one person or split up if I find a qualified remote candidate for the administrative person.
Administrative Position (Office Manager):
Requirements‐
‐Access to a computer and reliable high speed Internet service (can be out of town candidate)
‐Computer savvy including extensive use of email and online proprietary systems
‐Independently motivated and ability to work with limited guidance
‐Stellar and demonstrated customer service skills
‐Extremely detailed.
Typical tasks‐
‐Completing Broker Price Opinions (BPOs) – searching MLS for comparable properties and completing
online forms (well beyond data entry…)
‐Updating and posting to advertising sites including: Craig’s List, MLS, LoopNet
‐Contacting cities and contractors to arrange work and inspections
‐Contacting utility companies to have service turned on and off
‐Possibility to expand to process incoming and outgoing offers
Hours/pay‐
This really depends on the qualifications, motivation and efficiency of the candidate. Likely to start
around 15‐20 hours and $11‐14/hour. However, this person can increase hours and pay by adding value
to me. The willingness, ambition and effectiveness of making my job easier will be directly reflected in
hours and compensation. For example, if you accurately complete a BPO in 1.5 hours vs 2.5 hours that
adds value.
Field assistant:
Requirements‐
‐Transportation ‐ your own car and a valid DL
‐Access to a computer, digital camera and reliable Internet service
‐Computer savvy including extensive use of email and online proprietary systems
‐Independently motivated and ability to work with limited guidance
‐Customer service skills to interact with tenants and neighbors
Typical tasks‐
‐Checking occupancy at houses
‐Delivering and picking up signs and lockboxes
‐Meeting city inspectors and utilities companies at properties
‐Taking interior and exterior photos for BPOs
‐May be asked to contact cities and utility companies to arrange appointments
Hours/pay‐
Around 10 hours per week. Pay ranges from $10‐13/hr.
