This document summarizes an assistant engineer's responsibilities from September 2009 to April 2011 at Ananda shipyard & slipways Ltd. The engineer ensured safety standards were followed, equipment was installed according to drawings and specifications, quality control plans were implemented, and testing and commissioning of all equipment and systems was completed. The engineer was also responsible for maintenance of machines to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.

1.  Position: Assistant Engineer, (Maintenance & commissioning).
Company: Ananda shipyard & slipways Ltd.
Duration: September, 2009 - April, 2011.
Responsibilities:
 Ensure that safety standards are followed by all employees working on system
and machines.
 Checking of the model as per classification drawing.
 Following the Structural, piping and equipment installation Drawings as per
surveyor instruction.
 Incorporating the client’s changes according to change in design.
 Assist in preparing of training manuals and developing training modules for
employees to operate machines.
 Responsibilities include monitoring and inspection according to the Inspection
and test plan for the entire Equipment erection and installation.
 Ensuring the works are performed in accordance with the specifications/Method
statement and Inspection and Test Plan procedures.
 Ensuring implementation of Quality Control Plan, Procedure and Inspection & Test
plan.
 Ensuring cantering, orientation, position, plumb ness, levelling and elevation of
the respective equipment.
 Preparing checklist according to production drawings.
 Check all pipe line according to piping drawing.
 Testing and commissioning of all equipment and System.
 Responsible for installation of new machines and their periodic maintenance, to
ensure smooth operations and minimum breakdowns and idle time
 Inspect and record vital stats of all machines on daily basis, such as power
consumption, oil level, person working, periodic maintenance date, etc.
 Provide Chief Engineer with necessary feedback on manufacturing process and
flow space layout
 Maintain file system of operation manuals of all machines, periodic maintenance
schedules, vendor details, service agreements, record of technical snags and
repairs carries out etc.
