Post an assessment of your understanding of the research
process. Your assessment should include the following:
· How has your learning from this experience influenced what
you will do going forward through your doctoral study process?
Be sure to provide supportive examples.
· What areas of weaknesses can you build upon going forward
into your Doctoral Study? Be sure to provide supportive
examples.
· What opportunities have you identified for promoting positive
social change based on your increased understanding? Explain.
· What further questions do you still have about the doctoral
research process?
Be sure to support your work with a minimum of two specific
citations from this week’s Learning Resources and at least
one additional scholarly source.

How has your learning from this experience influenced what
you will do going forward through your doctoral study process?
Be sure to provide supportive examples.
One influence is ensuring the data is available for the doctoral
study. The best way to achieve this is by compiling as much
documentation in the form of annotated biography and exploring
the Library resources at Walden.
What areas of weaknesses can you build upon going forward
into your Doctoral Study? Be sure to provide supportive
examples.
The weak link in this study is the broad population, and it needs
reducing to gain the best sampling of interviews. The best
example to overcome the weakness is learning the process and
looking at the specific business problem within the business
(Taylor, 2013).
What opportunities have you identified for promoting positive
social change based on your increased understanding? Explain.
Positive social change is an opportunity within itself because
when business thrives in a positive direction than the
organization, the community, the employees and the leadership
better interact with society. Tsaprailas (2015) indicates that
managers are faced with various viewpoints, driving forces, and
conflict in personalities with a workforce of up to five
generations working side by side.
What further questions do you still have about the doctoral
research process?
Qualitative versus Quantitative are very similar, and I have yet
to decide which is better. The study in the works is better suited
for qualitative research although there are significant research
opportunities from a quantitative perspective. Therefore, a
mixed method may be the final determination

I view this course as a true definition of development. Prior to
the class, I was unaware of the extensiveness of qualitative and
quantitative methodology. I did not know how to write a
complete problem statement, purpose statement, or nature
of study. I originally selected to compose a qualitative research
paper with no real knowledge of how to do so. Although I will
still write a qualitative research paper, I now understand the
required framework for this type of scholarly work. The
knowledge gained from this experience has taught me how to
effectively research, ask questions, and use available resources
to make this journey a little less stressful.
One of my major areas of weakness is anthropomorphism
because I often give human traits to inanimate objects (APA,
2010). I was previously unaware that I wrote in this way. Once
the professor explained the error that I was making, I re-read
the section in the APA manual about anthropomorphism. I have
since, worked to apply the methods listed in the APA manual to
correct this problem. Another weakness has been with properly
forming my problem statement. After reading the feedback
from my peers, I found a way to apply their advice. I was able
to compose a hook that had a wow factor, I made sure that my
anchor citations were within 5 years, and I kept my paragraph to
approximately 150 words (Walden University, 2016a). Having
a strong beginning to my paper will attract readers and keep
them engaged throughout the paper. Since I am working on a
qualitative methodology, I want to work on making my
questions align better with my research study.
When researching my topic and learning more about retention
and job satisfaction amongst call center representatives, I have
identified several ways to promote positive social change. One
way to promote positive social change is to try to decrease
employee turnover, which can, in turn, help the organization to
sustain profitability. Another social change would be to help
boost employee morale, which can increase retention. Overall,
it is a win for both the organization and the employees.
My questions, in regards to the doctoral study program, include
needing more information on how to find additional scholarly
articles that I can use in my research. Another question just
deals with finding the best way to make sure that I keep my
paper aligned with the rubric so that it can help me to write my
paper in a timely manner. I know that more questions will come
as I continue my journey. However, I can already recognize the
positive effects of this course, because the research process is
starting to make more sense to me.

Burke, D. (2017, June 12). The four reasons people commit hate
crimes. Retrieved October 3,
2018, from https://www.cn7/06/02/us/who-commits-hate-
crimes/index.htmln.com/201
In this article it talks about the four main reasons people
commit these vicious hate crimes. The
four reasons it states are that it’s thrill-seeking, defensive,
retaliatory, and mission-offenders.
Thrill-seeking offenders create hate crimes because they do it
for the drama it causes and the
thrill their bodies feel after. Defensive offenders do it because
they see it as protecting their home grounds. Retaliatory
offenders do it because the want revenge on a past issue.
Mission-offenders are the deadliest but also most rare forms of
hate crimes. Obviously there are many different things people
can do that can be called a hate crime. I feel as if a person
commits an extreme hate crime like murder, kidnapping, or ect.
they shouldn’t be allowed back into society at all. If a person
commits a hate crime such as vandalism or intimidates a person
by saying certain things, then I think they should be given a
second chance back in society.

The courts main response to hate crime is to punish the offender
by automatically giving jail
time, but they’ve come to realize that that isn’t always the best
choice. Instead of jail time some
offenders need to go the restorative justice way, some may need
counseling, educational
programs, or even civil remedies. They want to offer other ways
rather than just prison because
they believe that prison can increase the chances for the
offender to strike again. They also
suggest that the offender meet the victim of their hate crime.
They do these face to face meetings to show the offenders that
their actions are unacceptable and they need to change.

In this article is says that there are some hate crimes that can
not only give some people many
years in prison but can also lead to receiving the death penalty.
It also talks about how the
offender can sometimes have to pay fines depending on what
they’ve done. Also states that
consequences for crimes can be legally raised if further
information comes out that it was a hate
crime.

This article argues that hate crimes that are based on sexual
orientation such lesbianism and
gayism tends to have serious psychological effects as compared
to other crimes. The article
points out that crime victimization have been a serious problem
in Sacramento area. The article
further illustrates that nearly one-fifth of the women and close
to more than one-fourth of men in
Sacramento have experienced hate crime or attempted hate
crimes at some point of their life.

This article talk of trauma distress such as depression, panic
attacks as well as hallucinations that are mainly caused by hate
crimes. The author says that occasionally, the clinicians may
easily misdiagnose the victim of domestic violence with anxiety

disorder would better explain the victim’s anxious symptoms.

This article mainly gives the meaning of hate crime. It defines it
as a criminal offense
against an individual motivated by offender’s biases based on
race, religion, sexuality, tribe and
disability among others. The article further gives the effects of
hate crimes, what causes/leads to hate crimes, how one can
prevent hate crimes within our societies. The author outlines
some of the measures that American Psychological Associations

AssignmentPost an assessment of your understanding of the rese.docx

  • 1. Assignment Post an assessment of your understanding of the research process. Your assessment should include the following: · How has your learning from this experience influenced what you will do going forward through your doctoral study process? Be sure to provide supportive examples. · What areas of weaknesses can you build upon going forward into your Doctoral Study? Be sure to provide supportive examples. · What opportunities have you identified for promoting positive social change based on your increased understanding? Explain. · What further questions do you still have about the doctoral research process? Be sure to support your work with a minimum of two specific citations from this week’s Learning Resources and at least one additional scholarly source. Lashae How has your learning from this experience influenced what you will do going forward through your doctoral study process? Be sure to provide supportive examples. One influence is ensuring the data is available for the doctoral study. The best way to achieve this is by compiling as much documentation in the form of annotated biography and exploring the Library resources at Walden. What areas of weaknesses can you build upon going forward into your Doctoral Study? Be sure to provide supportive examples. The weak link in this study is the broad population, and it needs

The best example to overcome the weakness is learning the process and looking at the specific business problem within the business (Taylor, 2013). What opportunities have you identified for promoting positive social change based on your increased understanding? Explain. Positive social change is an opportunity within itself because when business thrives in a positive direction than the organization, the community, the employees and the leadership better interact with society. Tsaprailas (2015) indicates that managers are faced with various viewpoints, driving forces, and conflict in personalities with a workforce of up to five generations working side by side. What further questions do you still have about the doctoral research process? Qualitative versus Quantitative are very similar, and I have yet to decide which is better. The study in the works is better suited for qualitative research although there are significant research opportunities from a quantitative perspective. Therefore, a mixed method may be the final determination References Taylor, R. (2013, September 11). Walden DBA problem statement tutorial [Video file]. • 3. Gesica I view this course as a true definition of development. Prior to the class, I was unaware of the extensiveness of qualitative and quantitative methodology. I did not know how to write a complete problem statement, purpose statement, or nature of study. I originally selected to compose a qualitative research paper with no real knowledge of how to do so. Although I will still write a qualitative research paper, I now understand the required framework for this type of scholarly work. The knowledge gained from this experience has taught me how to effectively research, ask questions, and use available resources to make this journey a little less stressful. One of my major areas of weakness is anthropomorphism because I often give human traits to inanimate objects (APA, 2010). I was previously unaware that I wrote in this way. Once the professor explained the error that I was making, I re-read the section in the APA manual about anthropomorphism. I have since, worked to apply the methods listed in the APA manual to correct this problem. Another weakness has been with properly forming my problem statement. After reading the feedback from my peers, I found a way to apply their advice. I was able to compose a hook that had a wow factor, I made sure that my anchor citations were within 5 years, and I kept my paragraph to approximately 150 words (Walden University, 2016a). Having a strong beginning to my paper will attract readers and keep them engaged throughout the paper. Since I am working on a qualitative methodology, I want to work on making my questions align better with my research study.
  • 4. When researching my topic and learning more about retention and job satisfaction amongst call center representatives, I have identified several ways to promote positive social change. One way to promote positive social change is to try to decrease employee turnover, which can, in turn, help the organization to sustain profitability. Another social change would be to help boost employee morale, which can increase retention. Overall, it is a win for both the organization and the employees. My questions, in regards to the doctoral study program, include needing more information on how to find additional scholarly articles that I can use in my research. Another question just deals with finding the best way to make sure that I keep my paper aligned with the rubric so that it can help me to write my paper in a timely manner. I know that more questions will come as I continue my journey. However, I can already recognize the positive effects of this course, because the research process is starting to make more sense to me. Retrieved October 3, 2018, from https://www.cn7/06/02/us/who-commits-hate- crimes/index.htmln.com/201 In this article it talks about the four main reasons people commit these vicious hate crimes. The four reasons it states are that it’s thrill-seeking, defensive, retaliatory, and mission-offenders. Thrill-seeking offenders create hate crimes because they do it for the drama it causes and the thrill their bodies feel after. Defensive offenders do it because they see it as protecting their home grounds. Retaliatory offenders do it because the want revenge on a past issue. Mission-offenders are the deadliest but also most rare forms of hate crimes. Obviously there are many different things people can do that can be called a hate crime. I feel as if a person commits an extreme hate crime like murder, kidnapping, or ect. they shouldn’t be allowed back into society at all. If a person commits a hate crime such as vandalism or intimidates a person by saying certain things, then I think they should be given a second chance back in society. Council, N. C. (2017). Retrieved October 4, 2018, fromhttp://archive.ncpc.org/topics/hate- crime/strategies/strategy-counseling-for-offenders-involved-in- hate-groups.html The courts main response to hate crime is to punish the offender by automatically giving jail time, but they’ve come to realize that that isn’t always the best choice. Instead of jail time some offenders need to go the restorative justice way, some may need counseling, educational programs, or even civil remedies. They want to offer other ways rather than just prison because they believe that prison can increase the chances for the offender to strike again. They also suggest that the offender meet the victim of their hate crime. They do these face to face meetings to show the offenders that their actions are unacceptable and they need to change. It also talks about how the offender can sometimes have to pay fines depending on what they’ve done. Also states that consequences for crimes can be legally raised if further information comes out that it was a hate
