3. Overview
● The rhetoric are important when it comes to english reading. As a part of ESL(
England as Second Language Learning), I will introduce several kinds of the
rhetoric such as metaphor, simile, personification and so on.
● First of all, I will explain the importance of language and how it is related to
rhetoric by presenting videos and information.
● Then I will explain the figure of speech in details using smart board lessons. I
will include audios and images as well.
● Next, I will explain some examples using experts from classic novels.
● Finally, I will design a game to ask them to identify the figure of speech or ask
them to list examples of each rhetorics.
4. Universal Design
Any lesson should be a part of Universal design which means it should be
accessible to everyone. I try to include as much videos and audio materials as I
could. Thus it would be more accessible to the disable. For people with hearing
disabled, I would images and texts. Also, I try to add some interactive activities to
make it more universally accepted.
