1. Asset Management
When I was organising all of the media and videos I
made sure that I put them all in a separate folder so
they could be easily accessed and didn’t get in the way
of the rest of my work. When putting all the clips
together they took up a lot of space because when you
imported the media into Adobe Premiere it created a
new file with the clip name and .XMP at the end. This is
to link the media up with the software so that it
remembered where the files were placed so they were
still there when you opened the programme up.
Although the new files are very small they still take up
quite a large space when you have to scroll through
them looking for the clips that you want. Getting the
clips off the camera was a very easy process and once I
located them in the camera all I had to do was drag them across into the folder that I wanted them
in. To make sure that I didn’t lose the files I placed them both onto my pen drive and onto the
college computer to make sure that I didn’t lose them, and then we deleted them off the camera
once everybody had a copy of the clips. I decided to keep the video clips and the audio clips in the
same file so I had easy access to them and could place them in at the same time.
