MATCHING TYPE
•Measures the ability to identify the
relationships between a set of similar
item.
REARRANGEMENT TYPE
•This type of test uses jumbled pictures or
words that needs to be arranged in a
desirable way.
ANALOGY
•Type of test it is made up of items
consisting a pair of words related to each
other.
IDENTIFICATION TYPE
•Type of test that requires recall of factual
information and cannot be opinionated
OBJECTIVE TEST
•Test that has right or wrong answer and so can be mark
objectively.
ADVANTAGES
Significantly reduce marking time and analysis of individual
question is more feasible.
Can help as a large number of question can be asked quickly.
DISADVANTAGES
Test are mainly criticized because of lack of production,
chance success and difficult preparation.
ESSAY TEST
•A short piece of writing on a particular subject.
CONSTRUCTING ESSAY TEST
Hears and read instruction.
Interpret the question.
Recalls relevant information.
Prepares a response according to the verbal directive.
Write response.
Review and edits time permit.
METHODS IN CONTRUCTING ESSAY
1.Limit the problem that the question possesses.
2.Use simple words which will convey clear meaning to the
student.
3.Prepare enough questions to sample the materials of the
subject area badly.
4.Use the essay question for purposes it best serves.
5.Prepare questions which require considerable thought but
which can be answered in relatively words.
6.Determine in advance how much the various elements
expected in a complete answer.
8. Require all student to answer all questions on a
test.
9. Write question that relevant to the subject.
10. Make a gross judgments.
11. Word a questions as a simple as possible in order
to make a task clear.
12. Do not judge the papers on the basis of external
factors unless they have been clearly stipulated.
13. Do not make a generalized estimate of an entire
papers worth.
14. Do not construct a test consisting of only one
