This article features an interview with Niamh Houlston. It discusses her career and experience working as a journalist. Key details about Niamh's background and work are provided.
Sophie Canning gained valuable feedback at various stages of her film project from her audience. In the pre-production stage, her peers provided feedback on her movie pitch that helped improve the plot. She also learned important camera techniques to use from their suggestions. During production, survey results helped her understand her target audience and their expectations. Post-production feedback from video responses highlighted ways to clarify parts of the story. Feedback from Facebook and iMessage helped refine her poster design and Photoshop skills. This audience feedback at different stages helped strengthen her work.
The document discusses the process of editing a movie trailer using iMovie. It explains how to import video clips, adjust clip timing and transitions, add audio and adjust volume, incorporate sound effects, insert titles, and save and share the finished trailer. Key steps include selecting a movie project instead of a trailer, importing files by dragging them into the timeline, adjusting clip lengths by dragging boxes, inserting transitions between clips, adjusting audio volume and fades, adding copyright-free sound effects, including titles for information, and sharing by saving the file.
Sophie Canning describes the process of creating her film magazine cover. She experimented with different fonts and chose one that was bold and clear. For the main image, she edited a photo in Photoshop to create the desired effect of a woman looking through a door. After creating a layout, she refined her drafts by adjusting placement of images and text, changing colors, and getting feedback from peers. Her final draft effectively conveyed the horror theme while following magazine design conventions.
1) The document describes the process of creating a movie poster mockup for a class project.
2) Several images were edited using Photoshop tools like filters, layers, and selection tools to add effects like blood, blurring, and splitting faces.
3) The edited images and additional text elements like the movie title, taglines, and reviews were arranged on mock magazine pages to create the poster design.
4) Feedback was gathered and the main image was re-edited to improve the realistic appearance of added blood before completing the final poster design.
Sophie Canning revisits her schedule for her A2 media coursework. She created an optimistic schedule initially but has fallen behind on some tasks like designing her questionnaire. She updates her schedule by changing dates around and sees she has approximately 12 more tasks to complete along with her evaluation by her deadline of April 23rd, allowing enough time to finish her coursework.
Questionnaire, analysis and results on postersophcanning
Sophie Canning conducted a survey to help inform the design of a movie poster. The survey found that the target audience was primarily 15-24 year olds. It also found that the most popular horror movie posters featured the main character with direct eye contact. Respondents said color scheme, photos, and angles were important features. Specifically, black and red were called out as effective colors for horror posters. The survey also showed that posters influence the decision to see a movie. Finally, respondents preferred a bold, large font for the text on horror posters.
The document describes the process of designing the contents page for a magazine. Key details include:
- The title was created in Photoshop using different font colors against a black and white background.
- Small cover model photos were placed in a white third of the page to avoid overcrowding.
- Section titles were made italic and underlined in red to stand out.
- Subheadings and page numbers were added in grey to differentiate clearly against the black background.

The document describes the process of creating the front cover for a music magazine. Key elements included:
- Choosing a full-bleed cover photo of a singer to serve as the centerpiece.
- Creating a masthead using a font from dafont.com and editing it in Photoshop.
- Adding "pugs" and "puffs" - boxes with descriptive text - using shapes and text tools in Photoshop and Fireworks.
- Designing a logo using an online logo maker and importing it into Fireworks.
- Including additional elements like a barcode, issue details, and keeping a consistent color scheme of black and red throughout.
Pugs and puffs are short pieces of vital information placed on magazine covers. Pugs, located in the top corners, display the price, logo, and issue number to catch readers' eyes. Puffs are promotional stickers that make certain articles or contents stand out from the rest of the cover using shapes and text. They provide quick previews to entice readers and highlight articles inside the magazine.

Sophie Canning chose the name "Heart Pound" for her new music magazine. She felt the name had a nice flow and would fit well on the magazine. She also thought the name represented rock music by associating "heart" with rock fans and "pound" with the pounding beat of rock music.
According to market research, most rock magazines use similar color schemes including black, white, red, and grey. The author analyzed these magazines and selected a color scheme of grey, black, white, and red for her own music magazine. She feels this color scheme, which takes conventions from other magazines, will be effective for drawing in readers.
I am considering name options for my new trailer and have started mind mapping ideas. Some potential names include "Home on Wheels", "Adventure Awaits", and "Wanderlust", which capture the spirit of travel and exploration that I hope this trailer will provide. In the end, I want a name that feels fun, inspiring and representative of the freedom and experiences it will bring.
Sophie Canning provides examples of templates she found online for different sections of her magazine, including the front cover, contents page, and double page spreads. For the front cover template, she likes that it features a large central image and will add the barcode to the bottom. She also provides an example contents page from a music magazine that she will adapt, which features a large image with text alongside. Finally, for her double page spread she details using a large image on the right with a quote and interview text filling most of the left page.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.
