Region IV-B, also known as MIMAROPA, is composed of the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, Kombion, and Palawan. This region is home to various indigenous groups like the Hanunuo-Mangyan tribe, known for its hand loom called harablon made from cotton trees, and ramit fabric used for skirts and infant blankets designed with purple or indigo dye patterns. Basketry and woven crafts like bay-ong bags from palm leaves are common from MIMAROPA, while Moriones masks used in festivals depicting the story of Longinus are carved and painted wood.
