Ukwanni Warumbe is a global artist who has lived and worked in many countries including Australia, South Africa, Namibia, Switzerland, Monaco, Paris, and New Mexico. He has studied art extensively and works in a variety of mediums. For nearly two decades, Ukwanni has also practiced art therapy and healing arts. He has exhibited his work internationally and in the US, including at the national gallery level. Currently, Ukwanni is working on new oil paintings for an upcoming retrospective exhibit and a new book of his artwork.

Openings, a collective of visual artists whose mission is to explore the connections between creativity and transcendence, will sponsor our 7th annual art exhibition featuring the work of 37 diverse artists that will run from Sept. 13 – Oct. 25, with the opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 19th from 7-9 pm inside the church. There will also be an Artist’s Walk Thru tour of the exhibition with the curators and many of the exhibiting artists talking and answering questions about their work on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd from 7-9pm.

Spiel allein - London Contemporary Art ExhibitionGallery NAT
After three months of preparation, the exhibition Spiel Allein-London Contemporary Art Exhibition will finally be held at Gallery 46, London, at 6-8pm December 7, 2022 (GMT), with artists, media and press, critics joining in together. The exhibition is thoughtfully planned by the curatorial team of Gallery NAT. The curators from Gallery NAT are devoted to support emerging and established artists for years and we have collaborated with more than 460 international artists all around the world. 26 talented artists from EU, Caribbeans, UK, Canada, U. S., Indonesia and China were selected and shown at Gallery 46 in London based on their critical thinking and contemporary art making.

Artist's Biography
1. ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
UKWANNI WARUMBE
Ukwanni Warumbe is a true global citizen who has spent nearly a quarter of his life living and
traveling abroad. Some of his Journeys abroad have taken him to Switzerland, Monaco, Paris,
New Mexico as well as Samoa. Ukwanni has lived and worked as a practicing arts professional
in many overseas locations. These include Sydney Australia, Queensland Australia, Cape Town
South Africa and Windhoek Namibia.
Ukwanni is a lifelong art student who has studied abroad at The Gold Coast School Of Art. One
of Northern Australia’s most prestigious art schools. Also as a self taught artist who continues to
further his artistic abilities and talent through sustained rigorous studies in art technique,
application and practice. Therefore, Ukwanni is an artist who comfortably works across a full
spectrum of art mediums. Which naturally include mixed media, found objects, oil, pastel, oil
pastels, charcoal, watercolor, Jewelry making, print making and more.
Ukwanni has been an Healing Arts Practitioner for nearly two decades. As an artform in its own
right, the healing arts, to include Art Therapy has helped heal, restore and maintain Ukwanni’s
clients in optimum health.
Ukwanni has exhibited and sold his works internationally. He has exhibited at the national
gallery level. He cofounded an artists collaborative. Has worked as a gallery curator. As well as
an Artist Talent manager and advisor. Ukwanni has produced works in group exhibitions.
Ukwanni took part in the first Luminaria art extravaganza in San Antonio, Texas as an exhibiting
artist. In addition, he performed live arts demonstrations at the first annual Noche de la Gloria.
He was also a founding board member of that group. Ukwanni was the first exhibiting artist at
the High Wire art gallery in San Antonio. He has been interviewed and featured in the local and
international press numerous times throughout his long running arts career. His works are in
private collections of a number of prominent figures in the art and entertainment industry.
Under the “Arts” heading, Ukwanni has numerous stage, film and television credits. In addition
to credits as a director, teacher and producer for stage and film productions.
Ukwanni is currently working on several new oil paintings which will be featured in his Artist’s
Retrospective Exhibit planned for the Summer of 2016. In addition, Ukwanni is currently working
on a new book of his artwork.
Finally, he has crafted an all new first of its kind course curriculum for the San Antonio Public
Library system (SAPL). Ukwanni will implement key components of the I.A.T. (Immersion Art
Therapy) protocol as part of this newly designed program for SAPL.
