Asyla Holt is a visual artist from Curacao who works in mixed media including oil painting, acrylics, glass, wood, photography, textiles, and creative writing. She studied art in the Netherlands and the US and expresses surreal concepts using symbols from traditional and metaphysical ideas. In addition to her studio work, Holt gives workshops and lectures on art and aims to promote cultural exchange through her nonprofit organization Funark Foundation, which she founded 25 years ago to support artists and cultural activities in the community.

ArtistAsylaHoltlivinginCuracaoandBonaire.Throughherconcernwith publicnon-accessibilityfor
manyartists, she beganinterviewingWriters,Visualartists, PerformersinMusic-Dance andTheatre for
