The construct of design pattern is often summarised as "the core of a solution to a problem in context". What, then, is the problem that design patterns solve, and in which contexts?
As design patterns break new grounds in educational research and practice, challenging questions arise: how do we engage new audiences in the pattern paradigm? How do we adapt the form and modes of use of patterns to make them useful in diverse realms of practice? Why do we have such a strong conviction in the value of design patterns?
The tradition of design patterns refers to concepts such as "timelessness" and "expertise". These are problematic in a world of accelerating change. Yet another fundamental principle is accentuated; the need to establish robust design languages capable of capturing the complexity of problems in our environment and offering verifiable solutions. I argue that design-level discourse is imperative in many critical domains of human activity, and that patterns should play a central role in such discourse. Over the last few years, my colleagues and I have been developing a methodology for participatory workshops for practical design patterns. This methodology has emerged from the "Learning Patterns" project, and is being refined by the "Pattern Language Network" project.
In this talk, I will describe the methodology, its history and future plans, and provide some illustrative examples. I will also highlight some of the fundamental questions which is provokes.
Digital storytelling unit plan
This unit plan outlines a digital storytelling project for elementary students. The plan is divided into 5 parts:
1. Planning and drafting the story. Students will brainstorm ideas, create storyboards, and write first drafts of their stories in groups.
2. Researching images and music to accompany their stories. Students will find or create visuals and audio to match their narratives.
3. Storyboarding to plan how the multimedia elements will fit together.
4. Producing the digital stories by combining the narrative, images, and music based on their storyboards.
5. Presenting the completed digital stories to an audience such as parents or by posting online. The unit provides detailed

READ IT project
The READ IT project aims to train teachers to make reading more engaging for students through digital storytelling and book trailers. The project addresses a need for teachers in the EU to develop digital skills. Teachers complete an online course to learn techniques for digital storytelling and book trailer production, then test these methods with their students. Students develop skills in writing, visual/technology literacy by creating book trailers. Evaluation found digital storytelling increased student engagement with reading, though schools' technology capacity varied. The project concludes digital methods can enhance traditional teaching when combined creatively.

Pilot study presented at the 25th Australasian Conference on Information Systems - examining the effect of mixed media visualization on learner perceptions and outcomes in 3D spatial modeling. Presented is an evaluation of physical and virtual media (3D Printed, Virtual Reality and 2D Projection) and several core guidelines for more in-depth research on the interaction between media for improved learning in domains which really on visualizations and manipulations.

READ IT project
The READ IT project aims to train teachers to make reading more engaging for students through digital storytelling and book trailers. Pilot study presented at the 25th Australasian Conference on Information Systems - examining the effect of mixed media visualization on learner perceptions and outcomes in 3D spatial modeling. Presented is an evaluation of physical and virtual media (3D Printed, Virtual Reality and 2D Projection) and several core guidelines for more in-depth research on the interaction between media for improved learning in domains which really on visualizations and manipulations.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
