Sternum and Ribs
(1)

Ribs:

What makes them true?
-each rib of the first seven pairs joins a costal cartilage that
attaches to the sternum.

What makes them false?
-ribs of the remaining 5 pairs that do not attach directly to the
sternum are known as false ribs.

What makes them floating?
-they do not attach even indirectly to the sternum.
