This document provides an index for a paper on art and censorship. It discusses various forms of art like paintings, novels, movies and music. It then discusses types of censorship like those related to religious issues, sexuality, politics etc. It provides examples of paintings, novels and movies that faced censorship issues in India, describing what they were censored for. It also discusses how censorship and sex in Indian entertainment has evolved over time with examples of bold movie scenes. It concludes that censorship plays a role in controlling expression and reducing threats to society, while also introducing sex education.

20. Sex in Indian
entertainment
According to our culture sex is a taboo. Sex is only accepted
after marriage. Pre-marital sex is opposed. Our country has
still not modified enough to face the bare truth of sex.
Thus portraying sex scenes in movies were opposed
in India about 10 years ago. But with time the restriction
towards sex has declined.
Many Indian film makers (e.g Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt,
Ekta Kapoor etc) portray sex as main role in their movies.
21. Movies Bold scene
Aitraaz
Aitraaz had Priyanka playing the role of a powerful
boss seducing her junior (Akshay Kumar) with whom
she has a scandalous history. She played the role of a
scheming woman to perfection.
Shuddh Desi
Romance
The movie boasts of 27 kissing scenes! Shuddh Desi
Romance is an interesting love triangle between
Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and Vaani
Kapoor.
The Dirty
Picture
The Dirty Picture was bold. From faking an orgasm to
visiting a porno film producer's den, Vidya Balan did
it all! The movie explored the issues of the casting
couch too.
Sahib, Biwi
aur Gangster
Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster saw Mahie Gill's character
obsessed with sex. The movie changed the laws of
courtship. Her kinky lovemaking scene with Randeep
Hooda where they record it on a cellphone is worth
mentioning.
Khwahish Khwahish was controversy queen, Mallika Sherawat's
debut movie based on an extra marital affair that
goes bad. Mallika Sherwat and Himanshu Mallik
shared 17 kisses in the film.
22. Movie Bold scene
Delhi Belly
Delhi Belly had a free flow of obscene dialogue and
objectionable lyrics. But, that wasn't all! We saw, Imran
Khan going down on Shehnaz Treasurywala in the
movie. Not to forget the scene where Poorna
Jagganathan and Imran sex in hotel.
Love, Sex Aur
Dhokha (LSD)
The name says it all! The movie was based on sex
scandals, MMS and reality. LSD had three sub-plots-
MMS, honour killings, and sting operations. Its boldness
shocked many.
Ragini MMS
Ragini MMS had everybody talking. The movie took the
meaning of voyeurism to a completely new level and
had all the visual offing you could think of.
Zism (sequel) Jism saw a lot of hot lovemaking and sparks flying
between Bipasha and John. , Jism 2 had everybody
interested. One of the main reasons being Sunny Leone
as the leading lady.
Murder With Emran Hashmi in the frame you cannot expect a
clean movie. Murder saw Mallika Sherawat and Emran
Hashmi engage in bold and intimate scenes.
23. And all these movies are maximum edited by the
censor board.
Thus Censor Board of India play a major role of
introducing sex in India. They edit movies so that
It doesn’t portray a wrong notion to the society.
Introducing sex education is a necessary factor.
But these intimate scenes leads to provocation.
24. Conclusion
Censorship plays a major role in control
of expression,
some over excitement are threat to the
society and to reduce
the adverse effect censor are done
