The Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek forced the Choctaw onto reservations in Oklahoma. The Choctaw had distinct cultural traditions such as wood carvings, basket weaving, and circular dwellings called hogans. They traditionally wore deer skin skirts and ponchos, and the men also wore breechcloths. Children helped with chores while boys hunted and fished with their fathers and girls played with dolls.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the

these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in

- 2. Compromised By Walton Ford and print maker Peter Pettengill (2002-03) 44 x 30 inches. The images are made on a copper print press using color ink. The artist used dry point pen a to carve classical images onto the copper plate . These imagines were inspired by Audubon and are mixed with symbolism, usually for humorous purpose.
- 3. Potawatomi Tribe By Falen Cook I attempted to make a print using foam. I carved into it, inked it, and pressed the paper onto it. I also used symbolism. Thee symbols of fire, lightening, and eagle feathers, important to the tribe. They didn’t come out as clear as I liked. Potawatomi is my family’s tribe. It means “keeper of the fire” .

They come to her in that moment, like energy that needs release, and she later deciphers their meaning. Sometimes the meaning shifts all together and the painting turns to mean something entirely different than when it began.
- 7. Lobster vs. Squid by Falen Cook I thought about Ali’s thought process behind her work. I had a very powerful dream about a lobster defeating a squid. I decided to paint it and later looked up the meaning of my dream. The lobster stood for strength and persistence. The squid for judgment and threats from others. I didn’t set out on that being the meaning but it happened to fit in my life at the moment.
