ARM and RIT announce their 2014 design competition challenging students to create creative and energy efficient systems using ARM technology. Teams of 2-5 students must submit proposals by March 27th describing their project idea, timeline, hardware and software needs. Projects will be displayed at Imagine RIT in May and judged on criteria like creativity, innovation, effectiveness and cost efficiency. Prizes will be awarded depending on sponsor participation.

Main Objectives
 Use ARM technology to create or enhance a creative an
energy efficient, commercially viable system
 Three broad classifications of projects. Use a development
platform to:
 Perform an autonomous function
 Perform a particular function along with a communication medium to
report or update data and/or events, possibly remote-controlled
 Interact with an app running on a tablet or smart-phone

 Competition ends one week before Imagine RIT in May 2014, and projects are displayed at

 Can count as RIT multidisciplinary design project, or some other course project
requirement!!
