Students should be allowed to have cell phones in school for several reasons. Phones can help with schoolwork by allowing students to look up definitions or information faster than searching books or older computers. They also allow students to stay in contact with parents for communication purposes. While phones provide benefits, they must be used appropriately during school for educational purposes in order to justify being allowed.

Should Phones be allowed in School
Students should be allowed to have cell phones is school because they can be very
helpful in learning and finding information. Tylor said that it is a good idea to have phones in
school because one time he was doing vocab and he couldn’t find the words in the book.Hethen
used his phone to look up the definition. (Interviewed Tylor) This helped him do his work
faster.It is also good to have phones in school to talk to parents.Parents like to be able to talk to
their kids. (www.debate.org) Phones can help students get things done faster due to the fact that
they are faster than some computers. If students have something that can search things fast
thenthey can get papers done fast. These are all reasons that phones should be allowed in school.
