Nuclear safety: AREVA’s DNA
Nuclear safety is non-negotiable. It is a prerequisite that calls for heightened vigilance across
all our operations, in all our businesses and on all continents. It begins by anticipating
and preventing risks related to radioactive materials and by defining measures
to protect people and the environment. It applies to facilities during their operations,
transportation of nuclear materials and for services at customers sites.
It is won by a strong commitment to transparency, by expertise and know-how.
Occupational safety: The priority
Occupational safety is an absolute priority. Our economic performance is not meaningful
unless it comes with an unshakeable commitment to preserving the health
and safety of our employees and our subcontractors.
Our requirements go beyond the best international standards, and we always aim for the
highest level of occupational safety in all our activities. Our accident frequency rate per
million hours worked (FR) has been divided by 2.5 since 2008. More than ever, we are determined
to achieve zero accidents in the workplace.
