The document discusses how Christians can drift away from God through negligence. It notes that drifting happens unconsciously through unseen undercurrents. Individuals and churches can slowly drift into error over time. It's dangerous because drifting increases one's speed away from God and the dangers that come with that. It ends in spiritual shipwreck unless the drifting is addressed. Common signs of drifting include diminishing desire to study the Bible, pray, fellowship with other believers, and share the gospel. Remedies include diligently keeping faith, being on guard against temptation, and having a strong anchor in Jesus Christ. The document encourages readers to check if they have been drifting and to encourage one another.

It’s hard to find a good girl to marry. Joseph felt that he hit the jackpot! Mary was all he ever dreamed of… a young woman of great purity who knew God’s Word backwards and forwards. And then came the stories of a baby bump. Mary was with child and Joseph knew that he was not the father. Imagine the shock and grief Joseph felt as he came to terms with this Unexpected Betrayal. But an angelic visit would help Joseph to realize that the Unexpected can be joyous and that no betrayal was involved. We’ve all dealt with the pain of betrayal. However, it’s also true that we’ve all been guilty of jumping to wrong conclusions. Joseph committed the greatest leap to a wrong conclusion of all times, but God was gracious to him. Joseph teaches us to be wise and measured in our responses to the unexpected and less cynical in our dealings with others.

There are many evil influences in the world (1 Cor. 15:33). False doctrines are believed and practiced by many. False friends lead us astray and into sin. False religions are spreading and condemning the souls of men.
The children of God are to be an influence for good (Matt. 5:13-16). We must live righteously and teach the truth. When we do this, the result is the glory of God.
This sermon looks at our duty to be salt and light and how we must persevere or suffer the consequences.
Today's SS lesson, "Living As Strangers". We Christians are to be in the world, looking to love and point people to God's grace by our examples and our genuine good deeds. We first must reject falseness (the old life) in our own lives, then we will be free to be Jesus servants by others

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
