3. The Challenge
The client wanted to develop an
interactive app to increase the fan
following. The brief was to involve
different age groups, automatic stats
update after each game, live
scorecard facility, fixture list, ability to
buy tickets and order merchandise
from a single LCCC app. Live news
section reflecting their current website
was also crucial to achieve. Data
analysis on a monthly basis by
generating various types of reports.
Our Solution
After fully understanding the
challenge, we developed dual app –
LCCC and AR LCCC.
Main app was for the fans who wanted
instant stats on players, buy tickets &
order merchandise. View fixture list
and share info with their friends.
AR LCCC was developed using youth
in mind and bringing more people into
the stadium. Clint McKay 3D was
developed with a voice over and
animation. Fans could take selfies,
videos and take the match ticket as a
memorabilia.
App Impact
On launch of the app, the
expectations were to have around
1200 downloads across both
platforms – ios and android. However,
it hit the right cords with the fans and
the downloads in the first month was
6794 & increasing steadily till date.
The app was successful and ticked all
the boxes that was set out at the initial
SOW. The ROI was seen within 3
months of launch and currently has
become profitable by involving more
sponsors into the app. Dashboard
generated all required data for
analysis on fans.

7. The Challenge
Being the first year of KIA Super
League, the county club wanted to
launch the women cricket in a more
creative way to attract more fans
especially girls into cricket.
The brief was to create an engaging
app where fans can select their
favorite player & get a welcome
message. A way to display the main
sponsor and facility to expand the app
in years to come with more possible
features.
Our Solution
AR was the perfect option to start
designing the app.
Kate Cross was selected and 3D got
developed with a voice over and
animation. Fans could take selfies,
videos and take the match ticket as a
memorabilia, as the Lancashire
Thunder logo was the trigger to
activate the AR. 3D option was also
given, incase anyone didn’t have the
logo.
Further, we showed her bowling action
in 3D, which was a huge success. We
will be developing more 3D players for
coming year.
App Impact
The app was launched on the
inaugural KIA Super League at Old
Trafford on both platforms – ios and
android.
Considering the number of fans in the
stadium, majority of them downloaded
the app. Working of the AR was
shown on the big screen and was well
received.
The app was successful over the
course of the tournament which
became evident when fans would ask
for the logo (which were distributed at
the entrance) to see the AR feature
with stats and info.
