We started by looking at things we should take into consideration even before we start discipling someone like how we should model Jesus, the importance of focusing on relationships and the goal of what we do in discipleship. We then went on to look at five key things we should do to help those we are discipling to get off to a good start.
Class 4 lift up jesus - THE SUPERNATURAL BIBLE STUDY - june 2016London Church
The document discusses evidence for Jesus performing miracles and being divine rather than just a prophet or teacher. It presents four Bible studies as examples:
1) The Supernatural Bible study examines prophecies about Jesus hundreds of years before his birth to argue the Bible has supernatural origins.
2) Jesus: Lord, Lunatic, Liar or Legend? discusses Jesus' controversial claims to being God and evaluates whether he could have been lying or mistaken.
3) The Miracles of Jesus defines miracles and examines the historical evidence for Jesus' miracles like raising Lazarus, using criteria like eyewitnesses and effects, to argue they show his divinity.
4) The Resurrection of Jesus is
1. The disciples struggled with limitations like lack of faith, exclusivity, and desire for primacy. Even though they failed at times, Jesus never abandoned them but instead corrected their behavior and guided them on the right path.
2. Jesus taught lessons about avoiding exclusivity and desiring greatness or primacy over others. He used the example of welcoming a child to show they should see themselves as equal.
3. Other issues Jesus addressed included the disciples' lack of faith stemming from insufficient prayer and scripture study. He warned against anxiety over material things and stressed the importance of forgiveness.
Jesus called the twelve apostles together and gave them power over demons and to heal diseases. He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and heal the sick. He instructed them to take nothing on their journey except the clothes they were wearing. They were to stay in whatever house welcomed them until leaving the area. Wherever they were not received, they were to shake the dust off their feet as a testimony against that place. The apostles then departed and went throughout the villages preaching and healing.

Jesus was a friend of tax collectors and sinnersGLENN PEASE
This is a study of Jesus as a friend of sinners of all sorts. It sounds scandalous, but it was the very purpose of Jesus coming, which was to save the lost. You have to love them to win them.
Jesus had a clear objective to seek and save the lost. He ordered his entire life around achieving this objective, including his time, relationships, and attitudes. Jesus chose to develop people, not programs, selecting ordinary followers and concentrating on discipling a few closely. He imparted himself to his followers through living example, not just instruction. Jesus called his followers to great commitment and lived out his objective with passion and consistency. Finally, Jesus reproduced himself in his followers to ensure his objective continued beyond his lifetime.
The document summarizes the key messages about Jesus' birth conveyed in the gospels of Luke.
1) An angel told Mary she would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God, who would reign over Israel forever. 2) Angels announced to shepherds that a Savior, Christ the Lord, had been born for all people. 3) Angels praised God for his mercy and grace, and that peace comes through Jesus to all who have faith in him.

God provides many perfect gifts to believers.
1) The Magi's gifts to Jesus of gold, frankincense, and myrrh were symbolic of who he was and what he came to do.
2) God equips each believer with spiritual gifts to serve others through His grace. Additionally, God gives the Holy Spirit, who counsels believers and empowers them to witness about Jesus worldwide.
This document summarizes ways that people can fail to find comfort from God during times of sorrow or pain. It discusses that comfort can be forfeited if people refuse to face their sin, seek comfort in wrong places like worldly pleasures, or listen to fault-finders rather than faith-builders. It also notes that lasting comfort only comes from Christ, and people should not seek comfort through addictions or the wicked, but rather find delight in God's word.
This document discusses how God and others provide comfort to those who are suffering. It explores biblical examples of Job's friends comforting him during his troubles. God desires to offer comfort and does so through his character, counsel in scripture, construction of the church where all parts support each other, and communication through others. The document examines original biblical words for comfort and their Greek translations. It also looks at how people can learn to comfort others from their own experiences with God's comfort, their victories of faith, and opportunities to provide comfort to others.
Solomon explores life from both a secular and religious viewpoint. From a secular perspective, life is meaningless - nature and history just repeat themselves endlessly and all human achievements are ultimately forgotten. However, from a religious perspective, life has meaning and purpose given by God. While there are difficulties, believers must accept both good and bad times as coming from God's hands. Ultimately, people should fear God and accept that there is a purpose to life beyond what secularism allows.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
