  1. Many potential candidates for various positions within companies are not located in the city in which the company is located All Human Resource employees have to evaluate a potential candidate is their resume and a voice on the other end of a telephone Candidates that look good on paper and answer a few questions over the telephone may not have the personality to do their job effectively Candidate finalists are flown to companies for face-to-face interviews… this process, plus the expenses of hotels, transportation, per-diem arrangements for food, etc. adds up to tens of thousands of dollars a year in expenses
  2. Interviewer and interviewee can share the potential candidate’s resume using a HD document camera The interviewer gains much more information in a face-to-face meeting than can be perceived through a telephone interview The interviewer receives the added benefit of seeing and evaluating the potential job candidate’s physical appearance, as well as facial cues, body language, etc. Human Resource employees can garner all the benefits of a face-to-face interview without the expenses of air travel, hotel, transportation, etc.
  3. Remote management techniques involve individual telephone conversations, conference calls, email and postal or expedited documents, information, etc. No process is available to provide real-time communications between management and remote employees incorporating conversations and visual information such as reports, spreadsheets, videos, etc. Current forms of communication are obviously not sufficient, as managers must make frequent trips to remote offices for meetings; incurring travel, lodging and transportation expenses Remote managers waste valuable time en route to remote offices and can neglect other managerial responsibilities

HD video conferencing tools enable managers and remote staff to create a face-to-face meeting and share information in any media (documents, XL spreadsheets, video clips, three-dimensional objects, etc.) in real time Both remote managers and staff receive far more cues than over the telephone— they receive the benefit of visual input such as facial expressions/cues, body language, and more Both managers and remote staff receive maximum benefit from time spent during a video conference, which translates into increased productivity Video conferencing can drastically reduce company expenses for remote managers’ travel, lodging and transportation

Each child’s ability to learn is based on each teacher’s ability to teach Children in smaller, economically disadvantaged, or remote communities do not have the same ratio of quality teachers or classroom resources as in economically sound and larger metropolitan areas While most children are exposed to the visual dynamics of video games, learning-based television programs, etc., in school, their learning experience is restricted to less stimulating media— primarily, the written word Most schools do not have access to IT personnel, thus, their ability to expand their curriculums fails due to technology issues
