Radio Frequency Identification Chip Research Paper
For The Best Or The Worst
What if they finally found a way? A way that they you can be tagged just like about everything
else. Is it true? Has the government finally found a way to get all the information they need from
us? What if they could know everything about you from just one simple scan of a chip the size of
a grain of rice? What if it s bigger than that and could be one of those scams into getting the human
race finally under the NWA (New World Order).
First and foremost the RFID IC or (Radio Frequency Identification Chip) is a tag, label, or card that
can exchange data with the reader using its built in antenna and its IC (Integrated circuit ). There
are a numerous amount of different things that helps tie this chip tie together, such as your personal
ID, Medical history , bank information, and all of the other information government wants to know
about you. The chip is inserted by doctors in one of your hands right between your index finger and
you thumb they say it take no longer than thirty seconds to a minute. ... Show more content on

I believe it s bigger than what it is and that the government is only telling us the things that we
want to hear and not the truth, but then again too what is its bigger than the government like on
a religious type level. Some believe that the RFID chip is part of the book of Revelations in the
bible which refers to the chip as the Mark of the beast . The book of Revelations talks about how
all people will have to receive a mark on their foreheads or their hands so that they can not buy or
sell unless they had the mark of the beast or the number of its name, basically saying the same
things that happening now. If you are not really familiar with the book of revelations it basically
talks about the signs of the world ending and the lord coming back

Privacy Concerns Over The Google Glass
The Google Glass is one of the most popular new examples of wearable technology [19]. The
Google Glass is a pair of glasses, prescription or non prescription, that has a camera, touchpad and
a display that can do multiple technological tasks: search, navigation, Gmail, Calendar, Now
cards, phone calls, text messages, photos, videos, and video calls [17]. Glass has yet to be
released to the public, but has been available for developers since February 2013 [9]. Although the
GoogleGlass is still a relatively new piece of technology [17], it certainly hasn t been lacking
debates on the legality and privacyconcerns of the device.
One of the most talked about points with Google Glass is privacy, which relates heavily to security,
both on a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stop The Cyborgs believes is not just the fact that a Google Glass wearer can be recording without
your consent, it is that wearable devices socially normalize ubiquitous surveillance [10]. The
Electronic Privacy Information Center has also expressed its concerns, stating,
While individuals may not have an expectation of privacy in public, they do have an expectation
of anonymity. A person expects to be able to walk down the street and blend into the crowd. There
are many public settings in which a person does not expect to be recorded, even if they could be
casually observed. Some of these settings could be sensitive, embarrassing, or incriminating... [3].
The Google Glass, like a smart phone, has the capability of taking pictures or videos of anything
around you in real time [17]. Unlike most smart phones, the Google Glass allows two different
methods for this functionality to be completely hands free [17]. The first method is to wake up
glass by saying, OK Glass, take a picture [1]. The second method is to enable the Wink feature
[15]. By winking your right eye with this feature, Google glass will take a picture for you [15].
Essentially this means that instead of pulling out your smart phone, opening the camera and aiming
the phone at what you want to photograph, those with Google Glass may simply wink their right
eye at the object they wish to photograph [15].

The Pros And Cons Of Pioneer Generation Package
In 2014, the Singapore news released a statement regarding the pioneer generation package in
line with Singapore turning 50 in 2015. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced that about
450,000 seniors from the Pioneer Generation will receive a Pioneer Generation Package (PGP)
focused on healthcare. This Package will ensure lifelong benefits that cover different types of
healthcare needs and also other extra subsidies. The purpose of this paper is to provide insights
to the advantages and disadvantages of the PGP as well as comparing PGP with other healthcare
services. This paper will cover the pros and cons of the PGP, comparing with other Singapore
healthcare schemes and also the healthcare measures taken in Britain. Firstly, the advantages are
that they will receive more subsidies such as receiving more benefits of MediShield Life but
paying less premiums than they do for their MediShield. Also extra subsidies will be given at
specialist outpatient clinics (SOCs), polyclinics, and General Practitioner (GP) clinics under the
Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), on top of other subsidies which all of citizens are...

It is used by a minority of the population and has both advantages and disadvantages. Private
healthcare is seen as a basic right of those who choose to use it. It reduces pressure on the NHS
and allows medical staff an opportunity to improve their incomes. Big companies and their
employees find it convenient as it enables them to arrange treatments at times that do not
interfere with their work schedules. But private healthcare is criticised as it allows people with
higher incomes to gain access to treatment ahead of those who are unable to afford it. It is also
seen as taking resources away from the NHS. For example, staff who are trained by NHS may go

Employee Pension Plans
An employee wants to have an amount of money for consumption after retirement that is certain.
An employee can achieve this on his own by saving or investing during his career life and for this
to be achieved the employee requires discipline and knowledge about investing. However,
individuals are not generally equipped to make decisions for their future retirement, nor do they
want to make these decisions (Aaron, 1999).
To solve these problems an employee can acquire a pension policy at a pension fund. A pension fund
hires employees with the knowledge about investing and imposes the discipline of saving an
adequate amount of money each year. Also, a pension fund can make use of economies of scale by
pooling many employees, which lowers many costs for example administration costs.
Kakes and Broeders(2006) talk about the different characteristics that a pension plan has that is the
level of the benefit, the certainty of the benefit, the level of the contribution and the volatility of the
contribution. Between these characteristics there exists a trade off. The more certainty given to the
benefit, the higher the contribution will be, also the higher the benefit the higher the contribution
needs to be. These characteristics can be present in different proportions in different pension plans.
The main question that a pension fund faces is : which combination of characteristics do
participants prefer ?

Professional Counseling Focuses on Development, Wellness...
Professional counseling is different from other counseling and psychology related fields. The desire
of social work is to help the destitute. Psychology wants to understand the nature of a person.
Psychiatry deals with medical interventions. Professional counseling which officially grew out of
the vocational counselingmovement of the twentieth century (Neukrug, 2014) tends to focus on
development, prevention and wellness (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). It is this focus on
development, prevention and wellness that brings challenge to the role and identity of the
professional counselor at times, but also gives the professional counselor direction, especially in
the area of specialization (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). Professional Counselors are clinical
mental health counselors that have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in
clinical mental health counseling or a similar degree in counseling. The Master s level degree at
Liberty University for the professional counselor is a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling.
The degree is maintained by accreditation requirements and most schools offering degrees in
professional counseling are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related
Educational Programs (CACREP). The degree is moving toward a 60 hour requirement (some still
have a 48 hour requirement) and the graduate student has the opportunity to join various
professional organizations in order to help with professional

Cognitive and Motion Impairness after a Stroke
Introduction
An individual s capacity to move is critical to carry out basic activities of daily living (ADL).
Motion illnesses considerably minimize a patient s quality of living. This can be caused by two
ways a) injuries in upper or lower extremities and b) problems in Central Nervous System (CNS
brain or spinal cord). Thanks to the improvements in technology so that new ways of treatments
are available for the treatment of the seriously injured survivors especially from war. In addition
and due to economic reasons, the period of primary therapy is getting shorter and shorter. These
issues will probably intensity later on as longevity continues to increase coupled with the
prevalence of both moderate and intense motor disabilities in the elderly population and
consequently increasing their need of physical assistance. To prevent these problems, current
research studies display a wide variety of products specifically assisting physical rehabilitation.
Robotic devices with the capacity to perform repetitive tasks on patients are among these
technically innovative devices. In fact, robotic devices are already applied in clinical practice as
well as clinical evaluation for rehabilitation from TBI, injured upper or lower extremities and stroke
survivors. However, considering the number of devices described in the literature, so far only a
few of these have succeeded to affect the subject group [1].

OF MICE AND MEN (CRUELTY)
All cruelty springs from weakness, said Lucius Annaeus Seneca. To me, this quote means that
cruelty comes out from a person who is feeling weak. A big question people ask each other is
Why are people cruel to each other? In John Steinbeck s novel, Of Mice and Men, there are many
incidents of cruelty. Crueltyappeared in the book when George yells at the mentally handicapped
Lennie in the beginning of the book. This trend of cruelty continues throughout the book.
Characters that were notably cruel in the book are Curley, Curley s wife, and George. The three
things that motivate people to be cruel in the book are: when people feel they are powerless, when

instinct is to treat that person cruelly. Crooks is a black stable buck that is discriminated against

put him through, Crooks becomes a very bitter person. When he is talking to Lennie in the

uncomfortable around him, so they just ignore him completely. Crooks gets fed up with all of the
negative treatment and his heart hardens. He feels like he is doesn t fit in with the others on the

Alexander III Research Paper
Following his father s assassination, Alexander III was advised that it would be difficult for him
to be kept safe at the Winter Palace. As a result, Alexander relocated his family to the Gatchina
Palace, located twenty miles south of St. Petersburg, making it his primary residence. Under
heavy guard he would make occasional visits into St. Petersburg, but even then he would stay in
the Anichkov Palace, as opposed to the Winter Palace. In the 1860s Alexander fell madly in love
with his mother s lady in waiting, Princess Maria Elimovna Meshcherskaya. Dismayed to learn
that Prince Wittgenstein had proposed to her in spring 1866, he told his parents that he was
prepared to give up his rights of succession in order to marry his beloved Dusenka . On 19 May
1866, Alexander II informed his son that Russia had come to an agreement with the parents of
Princess Dagmar of Denmark, his fourth cousin. Before then, she had been the fiancГ©e of his
late elder brother Nicholas. At first Alexander refused to travel to Copenhagen, declaring that he
did not love Dagmar and his desire to marry Maria. In response the enraged emperor ordered
Alexander to go straight to Denmark and propose to Princess Dagmar. The Tsesarevich then... Show

Hinduism Followers
Hinduism is one of the world s oldest religions. Hindus believe in many gods, numbering into the
thousands. They recognize one supreme spirit called Brahman ( the absolute. ) The goal of the
Hindus is to someday join with Brahman. Until that union takes place, believers are in a continuous
process of rebirth called reincarnation. At death, the Hindu s deeds (karma) determine what the
next life will be. Followers work to break this cycle birth, death, and rebirth and gain release. The
Hindu s soul then merges with Brahman in a condition of spiritual perfection (moksha). Hinduism
has many sacred books, the oldest being a series called the Vedas . Traditionally Hindu society
was divided into groups of four classes (or varnas). This was known as the caste system. People
were generally grouped by occupations, as children were born, they became members of their
parents caste and remained there for life. After death a person s karma determine whether he or
she was reborn into a higher caste or move downward to a lower caste. Included in the case system
was the category called untouchables. People in this group were consider impure, shunned by the...

Also if a prince is well liked by his subjects it is much easier to accomplish tasks with the interest
of the state. By ruling with interest a prince can be forced to leave power by his subjects.
Machiavelli s third topic is his biggest concern for Italy. After working as an ambassador he
noticed that the barbarians or countries from Northern Europe had large armies with well
trained soldiers. Since Italy relied on mercenaries to do most of the fighting Italy would be
taken over by these large, barbaric, armies if there was ever a war between them. So Machiavelli
emphasized that a prince should have a free standing army. In The Prince he said, Mercenaries
are useless and dangerous; and if one holds his state based on these arms, he will stand neither
firm nor safe; for they are disunited, ambitious, and without discipline, unfaithful, valiant before
friends, cowardly before enemies . . If a prince were to have mercenaries do all the fighting his
enemies can overtake him. But if a prince has a large and powerful army he can intimidate his

Gandhi Vs. Greek Heroes
The definition of heroes has been evolved variously through the ages. Greeks defined heroes as
brave, strong men or demigods who accomplished great quests during their lives. People
nowadays may define heroes as people who are changing the world to become a better place. A
hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.1 Both Greek heroes
and modern day heroes complete tasks which are nearly impossible for a normal human. Mohandas
Karamchand Gandhi, who was the leader of activists in getting India independence from Britain, is
a great heroto many people. Although Gandhi and Greek heroes have many similar and different
aspects about being a hero, there are great reasons what make Gandhi superior.
Both Gandhi and Greek heroes have great perseverance and endurance to achieve their goals.
Gandhi was imprisoned many times in his life, but he never gave up, and tried his best to achieve
India Independence and peace. One of his great efforts is The Salt Satyagraha which he marched
200 miles which was accompanied by thousands of people because the British imposed a tax on
salt and made it illegal for Indians to produce from sea water.2 Greek heroes also had great
perseverance in completing their quests. Jason, for example, complete a quest to get the Golden
Fleece by enduring all difficulties and dangers and Heracles also completed his twelve labors
because of his great perseverance and effort. Therefore, perseverance and hard work are important

Significance Of Light In Fahrenheit 451
From books and TV shows to movies and plays, the contrast between light and dark is found
everywhere. Typically, light indicates something good while the dark is something to be feared and
is bad. For example, most people have this notion that Heaven, which is an unquestionably excellent
place, is all lightwhile Hell, which is atrocious, is completely dark. Even little kids assume
something bad is going to happen in the dark, but is they have a night light then everything will be
okay. This premise carries over into literature, especially Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. In
Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury utilizes light to symbolize knowledge while the dark indicates
ignorance, which is used to develop the notion that the destruction of knowledge... Show more

One such character is Clarisse McClellan. From the moment Montag meets Clarisse he describes
her as, slender and milk white, while she had a look, almost, of pale surprise (Bradbury 3).
Within seconds of meeting Clarisse, Montag emulated the description of her as practically
glowing. In addition, Montag goes as far as to state that her face is as bright as snow in the
moonlight (Bradbury 4). In two pages, Montag describes Clarisse as light four different times.
The lightness of Clariss is used to signal the knowledge, she contains, to the reader. First off, the
reader can detect Clarisse s intellect when she asks, [i]s it true that long ago firemen used to put
fires out instead of going to start them? (Bradbury 6). Her intellect can be discerned because
even Montag, a fireman who should know the answer to this, states that houses have always been
fireproof (Bradbury 6). Furthermore, Clarisse continues to state facts that Montag did not know
or could not remember if he had known it or not (Bradbury 7). Such as, the fact that billboards
used to be shorter than they are now, or that there is dew on the grass in the morning (Bradbury 7).
The entire reason Clarisse practically glows, according to Montag, is to signify her as a

Wage Led Growth Good For Credit Unions And The Macro Economy
Wage led growth good for credit unions and the macro economy
2016 opened with stock markets in turmoil, news on the slowing Chinese economy, and oil prices
falling below $30 a barrel. Credit unions have concerns on how these affects their operations.
Concerned investors overreacted to the news of a slower Chinese economy, which partly explains
the stock market turmoil in the U.S. and around the world. China s economy is not immune from
the business cycle. Its economy s growth rate eventually came down from the double digits to the
single digits as it undergoes structural changes. China is shifting from an export led to a domestic
consumption driven economy. Since 1976, the beginning of China s journey towards integration
into the global economy, annual GDP growth averaged 9.5%. Since 2012, growth has been below
average falling to 6.8% in the fourth quarter of 2015. While it can be argued that China s economic
slowdown has both direct and indirect effects on the U.S. economy through trade and financial
flows, a slowing Chinese economy has marginal effects on credit unions. Moreover, it is difficult to
aggregate the effects of China s economic slowdown in future U.S. economic growth.
Unlike banks, credit unions have limited exposure to the ever present daily gyrations in the stock
market. The stock market turmoil in January was not a viable indicator of a U.S. economic
slowdown. The stock rout was a result of investors reaction to further declines in oil prices, strength

Leadership and Managerial Approaches to Magnet Status...
Introduction
Magnet hospitals are named for their potential to attract and retain qualified nurses. Magnet
hospitals are facilities that have been certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for
promoting positive patient outcomes through best practices in nursing (Upenieks, 2003). The
Magnet environment fosters autonomy and professional nursing practice. Research shows that
Magnet hospitals have better work environments, a more highly educated nursing workforce,
superior nurse to patient staffing ratios, and higher nurse satisfaction than non Magnet hospitals
(Aiken, Kelly, McHugh, 2011). Implementation of that environment requires the ability to create
trust, accountability, and open communication in changing times. ... Show more content on

Leadership traits associated with nurse executives are honesty, credibility, supportiveness, visibility,
and flexibility. Nurse executives analyze nursing functions and empower nurses through
participatory decision making, shared governance, and employee involvement. Nurse executives
share the vision and goals of the hospital and promote application of a nursing theory into the
nursing care delivery system. They anticipate the future of health care and nursing and serve as
monitor, role model, and preceptor to lower level management (Upeniecks, 2003). Nurse executives
in the Magnet program are required to have advance practice degrees with certification in their
specialty (ANCC). Understanding evidence based management and enabling the use of evidence
based knowledge provides the nurse executive with the tools to improve patient outcomes. The
transformational leader will remove barriers to improvement and encourage outcome based
thinking. While nurse leaders are charged with questioning the status quo, nurse managers in the
transformational approach to leadership are charged with maintaining the status quo.
Transformational Leadership and the Nurse Manager
Leadership and management serve distinct purposes with certain overlaps. The transformational
style manager is focused on maintaining the vision, reducing the resistance to change, and

Importance Of World Order
World Order refers to the creation of global relationships and maintenance of world peace. The
process governs affiliations between nation states and other global participants, including
transnational corporations, regional federations, intergovernmental and non government
organisations. World order and nation state interactions form the backbone of economic
interdependence and globalisation.
The maintenance of world order is conducted via the watchful eye of the United Nations (UN). The
UN is the most important body in maintaining world order and was established after World War II.
It enforces treaties by imposing sanctions, has a judicial arm in the International Court of Justice
(ICJ), creates declarations and customary law, registers treaties, makes decisions on world order
issues and fosters economic and social cooperation between nation states.
Without world order, and the bodies and laws that govern relationships between nations and other
global participants, there would be international anarchy; this could potentially lead to world
conflict and global destruction. World order and nation state interactions form the backbone of
economic interdependence and globalisation.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is the principle organ of the UN and is responsible to
maintain international peace and security and resolve international problems of economic, social or
humanitarian nature. The role often involves responding to crisis around the world by establishing

The Deregulation Of The U.s. Economy
In the 1920s, there was an increase in bank credit and loans. Confident in the potency of the U.S.
economy, the stock market became a one way bet. Many consumers borrowed money to buy
shares. Firms took out more loans for expansion. Because people took on so much debt, it meant
they became more vulnerable to a change in confidence. When that change came in the form of
the 1929 crash, those who had borrowed money were left exposed. Moreover, rush to sell shares
trying to remedy their debts. Interconnected to buying shares on credit was the practice of buying
shares on the margin. To buy on the margin meant you paid between 10 20 percent of the value of
the shares; but it also meant you were financing 80 90 percent of the value of the shares. This
allowed more currency to be invested, which inflated the value of each share. Numerous investors
made millions buying on the margin, the so called margin millionaire investors made millions in
profits buying on the margin and observing the rising price of their share. However, it also left
stockholders vulnerable when prices fell. During the 1920s, the virtually endless increasing
movement of the markets seemed to make this practice practicable, Exacerbating this tendency was
the fact that more and more investors were getting bank advances in order to pay the preliminary
marginal buy in, Thusly resulting in there being very little tangible currency supporting these
stocks values. As investors and brokers began to identify

Democrats Vs Conservatives
Political ideologies in the United States vary considerably, people often classify themselves as
either adhering to positions along the political spectrum as liberals, progressive, moderate or
conservative. In the world of politics we generally decide that the Democratic Party represents the
liberal ideas, while the Republican Party commonly represents the conservatives. From the
understanding of this course we define the term American conservative as a political philosophy
that emphasizes prosperity, security and tradition above other values. Whereas liberals are also a
political partythat emphasizes individualism, equality and civil rights above other values. In
simpler terms stress economic rights, whereas liberals emphasizes civil rights.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) states that air pollution is the result of
human activities and natural processes on the environment, which causes certain gases to be
released into the air to interact with other substances to form acid rain, the greenhouse effect and
ozone hole on global scale. Environmental pollution can be directly jeopardizes a wide range of
public health in short amount of time through its pollutants that naturally generated in the

of the environmental pollution that occurred in last century. The first one is the Meuse Valley
fog of 1930 that occurred in the area of Liege on the River Meuse where was once one of most
heavily industrialised areas of Europe since industrial revolution. The event occurred between
Dec 1 to Dec 5, 1930, a thick fog covered a large part of Belgium. From Dec 3 onwards, hundreds
of people experienced severe respiratory signs and symptoms in the village between the town of
Huy and Lieg and more than 60 people died in the next 3 day due to its polluted environment.
The second one is the Donora smog of 1948 that occurred in the Pennsylvania, which caused by the

Essay On The Legend Of Ponnivala
The Wild Boar: Comparisons Between Classical Greek and Medieval Indian Mythology In The
Legend of Ponnivala, the twin kings Ponnar and Shankar face off against a giant boar named
Komban. Komban is the offspring of a little sow who was once brought to Ponnivala as one of the
royal animals. When Kunnutaiya and Tamarai set out on their journey to the Gates of Heaven to
resolve the matter of their childless state with Lord Shiva, all the barren animals ask them to
request a boon of children from the god on their behalf.
The pig, however, falls asleep across their path. In her rush to get moving Tamarai kicks the pig to
wake her up. Indignant, the pig curses Tamarai and swears that the son she has will grow into a
huge black boar that will ravage the land and kill Tamarai s sons.
After Tamarai s sons, the heroes Ponnar and Shankar, have grown, the land is ravaged by the great
boar Komban. Komban challenges the young kings, who have stolen a parrot from the
neighbouring forest kingdom. Through pitched and very dangerous combat, Komban is killed and
his remains divided between the men of Ponnivala and their allies. ... Show more content on

The Common Misconception Of The Scientific Community
The common misconception in the scientific community is that there is only one way to get things
into space a combustion powered rocket. However, recently there have been talks and designs
floating around about other methods to travel to space. Currently the technology and tools existing
regarding space are seen as revolutionary and ahead of our time. However the possibility for even
more advanced and efficient technology is within the grasp of humanity. We first launched a rocket
to get to the moon in 1969, and since then the design for space rockets has varied slightly. The
use of space shuttles was first introduced in 1981, and since then almost no changes have been
made for space travel. In our world if you are not progressing, you are falling behind. We have
been using dangerous and unreliable rockets for 47 years now. The recent explosion that occurred
for the company SpaceX has highlighted our case and point. The current way to get into space is
not only unreliable and dangerous, but it is also highly inefficient and expensive. The main focus in
recent years is launching things into geostationary orbits, or orbits that stay in the same spot
relative to the Earth. The cost to launch a rocket into a geostationary orbit is currently around
20,000 dollars per kilogram, which is an outrageous amount of money (http://www.extremetech.com

Argumentative Essay On Law School
What do lawyers learn in law school? They learn to win... what they ve got to start thinking is
how do they solve problems. Benjamin Carson Law school can be a painfully long process. For
some, it s worth it. For others, the painfully long process can be stressful and mentally challenging.
Although the path to becoming a lawyer is very demanding, a person can reduce the stress by
studying the positive, negative, and mentally challenging aspects that he or she may face. Some
may worry about the affects of law school, but they need to remember there are a lot of positives
in it. First of all, it all depends on the type of person you are in law school to see if your mental
health will be affected. The Wellness Committee at Indiana Law School is a safe haven for
students suffering from depression, anxiety, extreme stress, or any other types of mental health
issues. So, considering that some law schools have clinics and doctors to help the mentally sick,
people can also seek advice or help off site, or off campus. For instance, the JLAP (Judges and
Lawyers Assistance Program) is not on a specific campus but it is a place where you can seek
assistance. The program will keep all of their patient s problems and concerns confidential so they
need no stress about their peers knowing. (Covington)

Freud s Psychosexual Stages Of Development
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist born on the sixth of May in 1856. He began his
researches of the human mind in 1881, while America and Europe reformed insane asylums and
became more fascinated with unnatural psychological states. He first studied nervous diseases
examining fish and simultaneously attaining his degree at the University of Vienna, and in the late
nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Freud explored the human psyche far more than
other neurologists during his time, which earned him the title of the founding father of
psychoanalysis. Eventually he explored conflicts from a person s adolescence and how they had an
astounding effect on adulthood and created what became known to be his Psychosexual Stages of
Development.
Freud s psychosexual stages of development is a concept derived from the belief that any problems
that occurred through adulthood were the primary result of experiences in early childhood
matriculation. He gathered that the human species went through five stages of psychosexual
development, and that during each stage of this development, experienced a sense of euphoria in a
particular body part more than others. The areas of our bodies that felt this sensation were known
as erogenous zones, which were specific parts of the human anatomy such as the mouth, the anus,
and the genitals, that contained vigorous pleasure emitting qualities at specific stages of
development in accordance with personality development focused on the

The Removalists Essay
Australian dramas, such as David Williamson s The Removalists , inclination to depend on
stereotypes is not a weakness, but instead an opportunity to explore personal and societal issues.
The inclusion of stereotypes within the play does not hinder the exploration of these issues, but
instead deepens the audiences understanding and awareness. Through familiar roles, such as the
Oker identity, Williamson heightens the play, and allows a production to focus on the themes being
explored. By using stereotyped characters in contrast with realistic characters and style, Williamson
effectively comment on the faults of society without the distraction of character complexity.

In this scene we tended to speak loudly, often finding ourselves shouting and making rude
innuendos and racist comments. As we workshopped the scene further, we discussed how this was
a representation of the Australian society that we had seen in the media. It could be concluded from
my workshop, that in a production of The Removalists this familiarity of character was an
opportunity, as it allows the faults within the stereotype to dominate.
As well as emphasise on the faults within the stereotype, the use of recognisable characters in a
production of The Removalists allows for an effective comment on the faults within Australian
society. Through the use of stereotyped characters, the play provides a deeper insight into the
serious personal and societal issues within the Australian community, without the distraction of
character complexity. These themes, which are explored through stereotypes, are violence, abuse of
authority, and sexism and sexuality.
The underlying messages that Australia is an inherently violent society, and that the Australian
male uses violence to resolve their problems is shown in The Removalists through the Oker identity
of Simmonds and Kenny. Stereotypes creating deeper understanding of the themes when staging
this production are presented immediately by Kenny s recognisable personality, which allows the
audience to easily accept that Kenny would abuse his wife

Narcissism In Shakespeare s Othello
William Shakespeare once said, A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself
to be a fool. This idea can be easily applied to his play Othello. In this book Shakespeare writes of
an individual, Iago, who thinks himself to be wise in his plan to get back at his superior, Othello,
who kept a job opportunity from him. Iago schemes and plans not thinking about anyone else but
himself and his goal to get himself promoted. Iago thinks he is smarter than everyone else and
does not care about the consequences of his actions. Throughout the book, the reader learns that
Iago has a grand sense of self, needs admiration while taking much pride in his accomplishments,
and lacks empathy for the characters whose lives he affects. Accordingly, Iago considers himself a
wise man, but the reader realizes hs is, in fact, a fool.
Furthermore, The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders characterizes narcissism as
a personality disorder under Cluster B of Personality Disorders. There are nine criteria
characterizing narcissism, but in order to have a diagnosis of narcissism one must meet five of the
nine criteria. The essential factor of a narcissistic personality disorder is a pattern of grandiosity
(DSM 670), which means that the individual amplifies their achievements (DSM 669). According
to the manual, narcissists also overestimate their abilities and inflate their accomplishments and
often appear boastful and pretentious (DSM 670). In addition,

Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler
Both Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler were pioneers and both had a phenomenal impact on the
world of psychology. However, while they were raised in the same era, came from the same city
and were educated at the same university, they had decidedly different views regarding
personality theories (Schultz, 1990, p. 120). Freud and Adler were both colleagues in the
psychoanalytic movement that Freud started. However, because of personality differences and
vastly contrasting views about personality theories (Mosak Maniacci, 1999, p.6) Adler left to
begin his own faction, which he called Individual Psychology. It is my intention to briefly describe
the main areas of their theories, compare and contrast their ideas of personality development,
explore what types of experiences contributes to unhealthy development and what types of
interventions they would have each prescribed to patients experiencing difficulties in their lives.
However, while both Freud and Adler continue to influence many areas of contemporary
personality psychology, only one of them can truly be called a humanitarian. Personality
Development Freud believed that an individual s personality is formed through five psychosexual
developmental stages. The oral stage which is formed in the first year of life is preoccupied with
oral activities. The anal stage involves bowel function and control, and occurs during the second
year of life. The phallic stage which occurs at approximately the third year to the fifth

Arranged Marriage Research Paper
In the next 10 years, more than 100 million girls are going to be married before the age of 18. In
most cases, girls already are married off to older men when they are still children. There are so
many reasons as to why the United States has already banned child arranged marriages. Today,
20 countries around the world still allow child arranged marriages. The points I will be
discussing today are; what child arranged marriages are, the emotional and mental effects it has
on women, and lastly how the girl s health is at serious risk. The past couple of days I have
researched this topic to give me credibility, and I have come up with some valid points as to why I
believe arranged marriages are wrong and should be banned globally.
An arranged marriage is the process of the bride and groom s parents/guardians ... Show more

There are many complicated reasons they claim as to why these countries still perform arranged
marriages and at some points, I can see where they are coming from. However, the things that
people do not talk about and the things that people do not really see that is what I am talking
about here. So maybe it is a lot to ask that child arranged marriages be ban, but at least raising
awareness to expose the truth behind it. Works Cited bureau, The idea. Girls not brides . 2002. 17

educator, activist, author, and politician. She is best known as the first African American woman

Comparison Of Phaethon And Daedalus And Icarus
In the two Greek myths, Phaethon and Daedalus and Icarus , the main characters go through a
major trial that enforces their pride, which eventually leads to their death. The literary elements in
these two myths include characters, imagery, and conflict. These elements help the author express
the bright scenes, understandable reasonings, and unfortunate downfalls. The lesson in both tales is
equivalent, as the theme is: A prideful disregard of the warning from those who are older and wiser
can quickly lead to disastrous consequences. However, the way this present this lesson is what
makes it different from each other. The main characters being Phaethon, Daedalus, Icarus imagery,
and conflict all work together to form the theme.
Certain people help form the common motif of these two myths. To prove this, in Phaethon ,
Phaethon s self centered trait leads him from burning the earth, to freezing it, and eventually, to
Zeus killing him. All of this because he craved attention, as it states, How many people are
watching me, me, me! (pg. 53, par. 64). Like it shows, his attention makes him ending up dead.
When it says, ...Me, me, me... it explains how he wanted the recognition. This reckless behavior
shows Phaethon s pridefulness as well, just as wanting attention shows how better you think
you are. Continuing on this, Icarus also ends up being swallowed with self confidence, but in a
more smug way. He thinks he s an expert flier and believes he can go even higher than the sun,
as he quotes, Think you re (the sun) the highest thing in the sky, do you? Because of these
actions performed by Icarus, it is obvious to see how carefree he is. This sentence can connect
with the theme, as the prideful disregard he committed was to his father, a wise and clever man.
He warned, Don t fly too close to the sun! but alas, Icarus completely neglects his caution. It is
easy to predict Icarus s recklessness will lead him to his doom. Therefore, the actions of the
characters really do help set up the downfalls, as in both texts, it explains how their pride blinds
them from the consequences.
The imagery in these stories is an important step in making the theme as well. In Phaethon, it shows
a vivid image of him

The Collaborative Teacher Education Program At The...
I am honored to be applying for the Collaborative Teacher Education Program at the University of
Massachusetts Amherst. Becoming a teacher is a career path that I did not consider taking until
recently. When I entered college, I did so as an undeclared student. My goal was not only to
secure a job after college, but also find a career where I will be happy for the next 50 years. I
decide to settle on economics, because I found the subject matter to be very pertinent and useful.
However I never wanted to be an economist or a banker, I just really enjoyed the classes. Two
summers ago, I worked for one of the largest camps in Massachusetts: the Metro West YMCA
Day Camp. Though it was one of the more challenging jobs I have ever had, it was also the most
rewarding ones. I returned home every day filthy and exhausted. However I always came home
with a smile, and greater appreciation for the wonders of youth. Following this great experience, I
decided to begin applying for educationprograms in order to receive a teaching license in
Elementary Education and a Master s in Elementary Education. Education is a field that allows
me to fulfill my goal of finding a job where I could make a difference and a lasting impact.
Through education I can help develop the next generation, and mold them into better citizens for
tomorrow. My purpose in becoming an educator is to have a career with meaning. Throughout my
education process, my teachers have always had a great impact on me. They

When Leadership And Policy Making Collide
When Leadership and Policy Making Collide Purpose of the Study Effective leadership is a must
in any employment, especially in the school system. Principals must be very attentive at all times.
Safe schools and a positive environment will enhance any student learning ability. Administration
work very hard to help students stay on track in a positive manner. A single problem can lead to
school disruptions and hurt the students learning environment. One principal experienced
firsthand, how effective leadership makes a difference during school uniform policy
implementation. Dress is a word that is roughly shielded as a custom of free speech under the first
amendment of the Constitution. The higher courts acknowledged the position that schools reflect
on the American people. In today s society most states have laws which authorize schools to
regulate dress code as long as it is connected to school environment or school safety.
Superintendent and school principals has a tremendous task of making sure these provisions are
followed by students and staff. How was the Study Conducted? The study was conducted in a rural
school district at Valley View Middle School. The district population is 29, 235 students.
Population comprise of 75.3% Caucasian, 21.6% African American, 3.1% Hispanic, and the

Merchant Of Venice Theme Analysis
The Merchant of Venice
Question:
The Merchant of Venice was a play about a Jewish moneylender who plots to cut off a pound of
flesh from a Merchant whom he has a history with. Revenge was the central theme of Shakespeare s
play The Merchant of Venice . However, there are other themes throughout the text, namely
friendship and prejudice, that help to emphasise revenge as the central theme of the play.
Revenge is an integral part of the play and characters in the play. Revenge is what drives Shylock,
seeking to obtain revenge on Antonio. In a way, Jessica seeks revenge for the hell that her father
made at home. In Venice, during the time of Shakespeare, Jews were not seen as humans. They
were alienated for their beliefs and due to the belief that Jews were responsible for the death of
Christ. As a result of this alienation, Jews were forced to wear red hats whenever going out,
which made them ripe for the picking for abuse and discrimination. Such discrimination has
been laid down on Shylock, with Antonio spitting on him and calling him a cut throat dog . As
seen in Scene Act 1, Scene 3, Antonio, even after receiving a loan, I am as like to call thee so
again, To spit on thee again, to spurn thee too. This shows how unthankful Antonio is towards
Shylock, simply because he is a Jew. It is no wonder why Shylock seeks revenge on Antonio. When
asked by Salanio what good a pound of flesh will do, Shylock simply states To bait fish withal: if it
will feed nothing else, it

A Streetcar Named Desire By Tennessee Williams Essay
Tennessee Williams s play A Streetcar Named Desire is based on a journey of the protagonist
Blanche, however her sister, Stella Kowalski, takes a major role as well in further conveying the
theme of the play, that is of course, complicated and baffling and dramatic based on the very vague
presentation of it, there is a turning point at the end of the playwhere my interpretation of Stella
changes as well. Her top priority in the play was to keep everything under control, she had messed
up a few times, but she mainly desires to focus on the important matters to her, marriage and life.
She tries to keep a balance and therefore conveys the theme the playwright is conveying.
Stella Kowalski is a magnificent character because of the way she goes about the issues that
surround her while maintaining her gentle and refined self. Stella is caught in a crossfire between
her husband s cruel acts towards Blanche and Blanche s lies and past with her sister. Both Stanley
and Blanche hold opposition of each other based on their values and backgrounds. Therefore,
Stella is caught in the middle of their two diverse worlds that collide, where both Stanley and
Blanche try to win her over, but she remains statically passive. However, further into the play there
comes a turn, around scene 6, the plot complications introduced, reform Stella s outlook. These are
due to many factors.
William s characters take on an old versus a new version of America which is traditional compared

The Cold War represents the disputes between the Soviet Union and the United States, and may be
the most noteworthy political issue of the late 20th Century. The Cold War was a very political
issue because it influenced foreign policies, impacted our economy, and even affected Presidential
elections. The United States was worried that the Soviet Union would extend communism
throughout Europe with its power and control over smaller and weaker countries. At the beginning
of the Cold War the struggles between the United States and the Soviet Union were more political
than military. The Soviet Union detonated its first atomic bomb on August 29, 1949 which alarmed

Rich s Philosophies
Rich 18
Every person has his own philosophy which ultimately guides him through each day. If a person
believes in basic moralities, such as not lying, cheating or stealing, then his actions will project
his beliefs. If one does not agree with these moralities then his actions will oppose the actions of
those who do. People?s philosophies are often guided by how they were raised as children and
how their mind processes information. Situations and events, positive or negative, can change how
a person sees the world which affects the philosophy that they live by. A Christian?s philosophy is
found in the Bible. The Bible is the Word of Godwhich reveals how man came into existence,
man?s purpose on earth and even some of God?s plan for the future. The Bible is God?s primary
tool that He uses to show His love and guide a Christian through his life. All religions have some
sort of god or figure that is worshipped. Out of all the false gods, none can compare to the God of
the Bible. He is the one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Discrimination Against Black Males
Finding myself in a place I wasn t supposed to be became the catalyst for realizing the danger I was
in from simply being a young black male.
Sometimes something as simple as hanging out with friends ends in almost losing your life. I had
grown up around kids from wealthy backgrounds, lived in an area with little to no crime, and been
raised like any other kid. I wasn t completely oblivious to the fact that i was black, in fact my
parents reminded me often that i wasn t the same as the kids I went to school with. Despite being
told that I was different, I ignored it, I ignored everything and had the delusion that because of my
personal background I was untouchable. When my friends and I decided to go trespass at a school
to watch fireworks, no thought in my head told me I was in danger. It wasn t long before we got
caught, but when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

problem is not whether the shooter is racist, the problem is that black males are treated as
problem well before we are treated as people. I carry these view with me every day and from that
point on they have defined my every action. I think twice before doing most things because
having this skin color is a challenge, the world tries to see everything that I do as wrong and
they try to make me a statistic. The incident taught me that I will always look threatening no
matter what I m doing or where I m doing it. It taught me to be cautious, and not to fall into the
trap society set for me and everyone else like me the day we were born. To make things clear, my
greatest challenge was not this situation, my greatest challenge to this day is being black in our
modern society, one that I have to work hard to

The Plague Of Athens By The Bacterium Yersina Pestis
Introduction Plague is an infectious disease that is caused by the bacterium Yersina pestis.
Depending on lung infection, or sanitary conditions, plague can be spread in the air, by direct
contact, or very rarely by contaminated undercooked food. The symptoms of plague depend on
the concentrated areas of infection in each person: bubonic plague in lymph nodes, septicemic
plague in blood vessels, pneumonic plague in lungs. It is treatable if detected early. Plague is
still relatively common in some remote parts of the world. Key Idea 1 The first plague talked
about in this book is The Plague of Athens . The Plague of Athens was a devastating epidemic
which hit the city state of Athens in ancient Greece during the second year of the Peloponnesian
War when an Athenian victory still seemed within reach. It is believed to have entered Athens
through Piraeus, the city s port and sole source of food and supplies. Much of the eastern
Mediterranean also saw outbreak of the disease, albeit with less impact. The plague returned
twice more, in 429 BC and in the winter of 427/426 BC. Some 30 pathogens have been
suggested as causing the plague. Key Idea 2 The Black Death is thought to have originated in the
arid plains of Central Asia, where it then travelled along the Silk Road, reaching Crimea by 1343.
From there, it was most likely carried by Oriental rat fleas living on the black rats that were regular
passengers on merchant ships. Spreading throughout the Mediterranean and

Similarities Between Slavery And Indentured Servants
The institutions of slavery and being an indentured servant is different yet similar. Slavery was
set up in a way that you were born into it and the only way out was death. Slavery was a system
set up that you will be enslaved for life while indentured servitude had an agreement. The
agreement was that you work like a slave for three to seven years then you would be given
freedom as well as land. When you were a slave and an indentured servantthe treatment you
endured was unbearable. They would beat them for any reasons they felt necessary. These could
include not picking enough cotton, not responding when spoken too, or even talking back to your
master. Many slaves and indentured servants would die due to this treatment as well as other...

If the indentured servants ran away or if the women got pregnant then their time could get
increased. The masters would take them to court to see that this happened. Women that were slaves
or indentured servants received the worse treatment because they were looked upon as weaker
therefore they received more abuse including sexual abuse. When masters felt like they could not
use the slaves and indentured servants they were sold. Indentured servants and slaves were not
allowed to get married. African slaves increased because indentured servants were not good for
planters needs and the whites wanted a way to control the outstanding number of African
Americans around them. Slavery was based on the African American race and being black made
them inferior to all other humans which made slavery a hereditary condition in the world. Slaves
were the key commodity of exchange. They were sold as security for debts, for food, war,
captives, military recruits, and agricultural laborers. However, the main difference was that slaves
worked with no end date, they would hope and pray that they got out of being enslaved, but few
got out alive. Although it was possible for some to escape, some were free due to Christian
baptism, and others purchased their freedom from

A person expects to be able to walk down the street and blend into the crowd. There are many public settings in which a person does not expect to be recorded, even if they could be casually observed. Some of these settings could be sensitive, embarrassing, or incriminating... [3]. Unlike most smart phones, the Google Glass allows two different methods for this functionality to be completely hands free [17]. The first method is to wake up glass by saying, OK Glass, take a picture [1]. The second method is to enable the Wink feature [15]. • 6. Employee Pension Plans An employee wants to have an amount of money for consumption after retirement that is certain. An employee can achieve this on his own by saving or investing during his career life and for this to be achieved the employee requires discipline and knowledge about investing. However, individuals are not generally equipped to make decisions for their future retirement, nor do they want to make these decisions (Aaron, 1999). To solve these problems an employee can acquire a pension policy at a pension fund. A pension fund hires employees with the knowledge about investing and imposes the discipline of saving an adequate amount of money each year. Also, a pension fund can make use of economies of scale by pooling many employees, which lowers many costs for example administration costs. Kakes and Broeders(2006) talk about the different characteristics that a pension plan has that is the level of the benefit, the certainty of the benefit, the level of the contribution and the volatility of the contribution. Between these characteristics there exists a trade off. The more certainty given to the benefit, the higher the contribution will be, also the higher the benefit the higher the contribution needs to be. These characteristics can be present in different proportions in different pension plans. The main question that a pension fund faces is : which combination of characteristics do participants prefer ? In the recent financial crises of 2008, Goudswaard, Beetsma, Nijman, and ... • 7. Professional Counseling Focuses on Development, Wellness... Professional counseling is different from other counseling and psychology related fields. The desire of social work is to help the destitute. Psychology wants to understand the nature of a person. Psychiatry deals with medical interventions. Professional counseling which officially grew out of the vocational counselingmovement of the twentieth century (Neukrug, 2014) tends to focus on development, prevention and wellness (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). It is this focus on development, prevention and wellness that brings challenge to the role and identity of the professional counselor at times, but also gives the professional counselor direction, especially in the area of specialization (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). Professional Counselors are clinical mental health counselors that have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in clinical mental health counseling or a similar degree in counseling. The Master s level degree at Liberty University for the professional counselor is a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. The degree is maintained by accreditation requirements and most schools offering degrees in professional counseling are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The degree is moving toward a 60 hour requirement (some still have a 48 hour requirement) and the graduate student has the opportunity to join various professional organizations in order to help with professional ... • 8. Cognitive and Motion Impairness after a Stroke Introduction An individual s capacity to move is critical to carry out basic activities of daily living (ADL). Motion illnesses considerably minimize a patient s quality of living. This can be caused by two ways a) injuries in upper or lower extremities and b) problems in Central Nervous System (CNS brain or spinal cord). Thanks to the improvements in technology so that new ways of treatments are available for the treatment of the seriously injured survivors especially from war. In addition and due to economic reasons, the period of primary therapy is getting shorter and shorter. These issues will probably intensity later on as longevity continues to increase coupled with the prevalence of both moderate and intense motor disabilities in the elderly population and consequently increasing their need of physical assistance. To prevent these problems, current research studies display a wide variety of products specifically assisting physical rehabilitation. Robotic devices with the capacity to perform repetitive tasks on patients are among these technically innovative devices. In fact, robotic devices are already applied in clinical practice as well as clinical evaluation for rehabilitation from TBI, injured upper or lower extremities and stroke survivors. • 9. OF MICE AND MEN (CRUELTY) All cruelty springs from weakness, said Lucius Annaeus Seneca. To me, this quote means that cruelty comes out from a person who is feeling weak. A big question people ask each other is Why are people cruel to each other? In John Steinbeck s novel, Of Mice and Men, there are many incidents of cruelty. Crueltyappeared in the book when George yells at the mentally handicapped Lennie in the beginning of the book. This trend of cruelty continues throughout the book. Characters that were notably cruel in the book are Curley, Curley s wife, and George. The three things that motivate people to be cruel in the book are: when people feel they are powerless, when a person wants a feeling of short term enjoyment from... As a result of the torment they put him through, Crooks becomes a very bitter person. When he is talking to Lennie in the stable Crooks tells him, They play cards in there, but I can t play because I m black. They say I stink. (68) Their intentions are cruel. They treat Crooks like he is an animal. They feel uncomfortable around him, so they just ignore him completely. Crooks gets fed up with all of the negative treatment and his heart hardens. He feels like he is doesn t fit in with the others on the farm. People have told Crooks that he is different throughout his life. He starts to believe Wong 4 them as he says, If I say something, why it s just a nigger sayin it . (74) Crooks is not the only one who is discriminated against. As a result, Alexander relocated his family to the Gatchina Palace, located twenty miles south of St. Petersburg, making it his primary residence. Under heavy guard he would make occasional visits into St. Petersburg, but even then he would stay in the Anichkov Palace, as opposed to the Winter Palace. In the 1860s Alexander fell madly in love with his mother s lady in waiting, Princess Maria Elimovna Meshcherskaya. Dismayed to learn that Prince Wittgenstein had proposed to her in spring 1866, he told his parents that he was prepared to give up his rights of succession in order to marry his beloved Dusenka . On 19 May 1866, Alexander II informed his son that Russia had come to an agreement with the parents of Princess Dagmar of Denmark, his fourth cousin. Before then, she had been the fiancГ©e of his late elder brother Nicholas. At first Alexander refused to travel to Copenhagen, declaring that he did not love Dagmar and his desire to marry Maria. • 11. Hinduism Followers Hinduism is one of the world s oldest religions. Hindus believe in many gods, numbering into the thousands. They recognize one supreme spirit called Brahman ( the absolute. ) The goal of the Hindus is to someday join with Brahman. Since Italy relied on mercenaries to do most of the fighting Italy would be taken over by these large, barbaric, armies if there was ever a war between them. So Machiavelli emphasized that a prince should have a free standing army. Greeks defined heroes as brave, strong men or demigods who accomplished great quests during their lives. People nowadays may define heroes as people who are changing the world to become a better place. A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.1 Both Greek heroes and modern day heroes complete tasks which are nearly impossible for a normal human. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was the leader of activists in getting India independence from Britain, is a great heroto many people. Although Gandhi and Greek heroes have many similar and different aspects about being a hero, there are great reasons what make Gandhi superior. Both Gandhi and Greek heroes have great perseverance and endurance to achieve their goals. Gandhi was imprisoned many times in his life, but he never gave up, and tried his best to achieve India Independence and peace. One of his great efforts is The Salt Satyagraha which he marched 200 miles which was accompanied by thousands of people because the British imposed a tax on salt and made it illegal for Indians to produce from sea water.2 Greek heroes also had great perseverance in completing their quests. For example, most people have this notion that Heaven, which is an unquestionably excellent place, is all lightwhile Hell, which is atrocious, is completely dark. Even little kids assume something bad is going to happen in the dark, but is they have a night light then everything will be okay. This premise carries over into literature, especially Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Credit unions have concerns on how these affects their operations. Concerned investors overreacted to the news of a slower Chinese economy, which partly explains the stock market turmoil in the U.S. and around the world. China s economy is not immune from the business cycle. Its economy s growth rate eventually came down from the double digits to the single digits as it undergoes structural changes. China is shifting from an export led to a domestic consumption driven economy. Since 1976, the beginning of China s journey towards integration into the global economy, annual GDP growth averaged 9.5%. Since 2012, growth has been below average falling to 6.8% in the fourth quarter of 2015. While it can be argued that China s economic slowdown has both direct and indirect effects on the U.S. economy through trade and financial flows, a slowing Chinese economy has marginal effects on credit unions. Moreover, it is difficult to aggregate the effects of China s economic slowdown in future U.S. economic growth. Unlike banks, credit unions have limited exposure to the ever present daily gyrations in the stock market. The stock market turmoil in January was not a viable indicator of a U.S. economic slowdown. Benjamin Carson Law school can be a painfully long process. For some, it s worth it. For others, the painfully long process can be stressful and mentally challenging. Although the path to becoming a lawyer is very demanding, a person can reduce the stress by studying the positive, negative, and mentally challenging aspects that he or she may face. Some may worry about the affects of law school, but they need to remember there are a lot of positives in it. First of all, it all depends on the type of person you are in law school to see if your mental health will be affected. The Wellness Committee at Indiana Law School is a safe haven for students suffering from depression, anxiety, extreme stress, or any other types of mental health issues. So, considering that some law schools have clinics and doctors to help the mentally sick, people can also seek advice or help off site, or off campus. • 37. Freud s Psychosexual Stages Of Development Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist born on the sixth of May in 1856. He began his researches of the human mind in 1881, while America and Europe reformed insane asylums and became more fascinated with unnatural psychological states. He first studied nervous diseases examining fish and simultaneously attaining his degree at the University of Vienna, and in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Freud explored the human psyche far more than other neurologists during his time, which earned him the title of the founding father of psychoanalysis. Eventually he explored conflicts from a person s adolescence and how they had an astounding effect on adulthood and created what became known to be his Psychosexual Stages of Development. Freud s psychosexual stages of development is a concept derived from the belief that any problems that occurred through adulthood were the primary result of experiences in early childhood matriculation. He gathered that the human species went through five stages of psychosexual development, and that during each stage of this development, experienced a sense of euphoria in a particular body part more than others. The areas of our bodies that felt this sensation were known as erogenous zones, which were specific parts of the human anatomy such as the mouth, the anus, and the genitals, that contained vigorous pleasure emitting qualities at specific stages of development in accordance with personality development focused on the ... The inclusion of stereotypes within the play does not hinder the exploration of these issues, but instead deepens the audiences understanding and awareness. Through familiar roles, such as the Oker identity, Williamson heightens the play, and allows a production to focus on the themes being explored. As well as emphasise on the faults within the stereotype, the use of recognisable characters in a production of The Removalists allows for an effective comment on the faults within Australian society. Through the use of stereotyped characters, the play provides a deeper insight into the serious personal and societal issues within the Australian community, without the distraction of character complexity. These themes, which are explored through stereotypes, are violence, abuse of authority, and sexism and sexuality. The underlying messages that Australia is an inherently violent society, and that the Australian male uses violence to resolve their problems is shown in The Removalists through the Oker identity of Simmonds and Kenny. This idea can be easily applied to his play Othello. In this book Shakespeare writes of an individual, Iago, who thinks himself to be wise in his plan to get back at his superior, Othello, who kept a job opportunity from him. Iago schemes and plans not thinking about anyone else but himself and his goal to get himself promoted. Iago thinks he is smarter than everyone else and does not care about the consequences of his actions. Throughout the book, the reader learns that Iago has a grand sense of self, needs admiration while taking much pride in his accomplishments, and lacks empathy for the characters whose lives he affects. Accordingly, Iago considers himself a wise man, but the reader realizes hs is, in fact, a fool. Furthermore, The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders characterizes narcissism as a personality disorder under Cluster B of Personality Disorders. There are nine criteria characterizing narcissism, but in order to have a diagnosis of narcissism one must meet five of the nine criteria. The essential factor of a narcissistic personality disorder is a pattern of grandiosity (DSM 670), which means that the individual amplifies their achievements (DSM 669). According to the manual, narcissists also overestimate their abilities and inflate their accomplishments and often appear boastful and pretentious (DSM 670). In addition, ... Freud and Adler were both colleagues in the psychoanalytic movement that Freud started. However, because of personality differences and vastly contrasting views about personality theories (Mosak Maniacci, 1999, p.6) Adler left to begin his own faction, which he called Individual Psychology. It is my intention to briefly describe the main areas of their theories, compare and contrast their ideas of personality development, explore what types of experiences contributes to unhealthy development and what types of interventions they would have each prescribed to patients experiencing difficulties in their lives. • 45. Comparison Of Phaethon And Daedalus And Icarus In the two Greek myths, Phaethon and Daedalus and Icarus , the main characters go through a major trial that enforces their pride, which eventually leads to their death. The literary elements in these two myths include characters, imagery, and conflict. These elements help the author express the bright scenes, understandable reasonings, and unfortunate downfalls. The lesson in both tales is equivalent, as the theme is: A prideful disregard of the warning from those who are older and wiser can quickly lead to disastrous consequences. However, the way this present this lesson is what makes it different from each other. The main characters being Phaethon, Daedalus, Icarus imagery, and conflict all work together to form the theme. Certain people help form the common motif of these two myths. To prove this, in Phaethon , Phaethon s self centered trait leads him from burning the earth, to freezing it, and eventually, to Zeus killing him. All of this because he craved attention, as it states, How many people are watching me, me, me! (pg. 53, par. 64). Like it shows, his attention makes him ending up dead. When it says, ...Me, me, me... it explains how he wanted the recognition. This reckless behavior shows Phaethon s pridefulness as well, just as wanting attention shows how better you think you are. Continuing on this, Icarus also ends up being swallowed with self confidence, but in a more smug way. He thinks he s an expert flier and believes he can go even higher than the sun, as he quotes, Think you re (the sun) the highest thing in the sky, do you? Because of these actions performed by Icarus, it is obvious to see how carefree he is. This sentence can connect with the theme, as the prideful disregard he committed was to his father, a wise and clever man. He warned, Don t fly too close to the sun! but alas, Icarus completely neglects his caution. It is easy to predict Icarus s recklessness will lead him to his doom. Therefore, the actions of the characters really do help set up the downfalls, as in both texts, it explains how their pride blinds them from the consequences. The imagery in these stories is an important step in making the theme as well. In Phaethon, it shows a vivid image of him ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 50. Merchant Of Venice Theme Analysis The Merchant of Venice Question: The Merchant of Venice was a play about a Jewish moneylender who plots to cut off a pound of flesh from a Merchant whom he has a history with. Revenge was the central theme of Shakespeare s play The Merchant of Venice . However, there are other themes throughout the text, namely friendship and prejudice, that help to emphasise revenge as the central theme of the play. Revenge is an integral part of the play and characters in the play. Revenge is what drives Shylock, seeking to obtain revenge on Antonio. In a way, Jessica seeks revenge for the hell that her father made at home. In Venice, during the time of Shakespeare, Jews were not seen as humans. They were alienated for their beliefs and due to the belief that Jews were responsible for the death of Christ. As a result of this alienation, Jews were forced to wear red hats whenever going out, which made them ripe for the picking for abuse and discrimination. Such discrimination has been laid down on Shylock, with Antonio spitting on him and calling him a cut throat dog . As seen in Scene Act 1, Scene 3, Antonio, even after receiving a loan, I am as like to call thee so again, To spit on thee again, to spurn thee too. This shows how unthankful Antonio is towards Shylock, simply because he is a Jew. It is no wonder why Shylock seeks revenge on Antonio. When asked by Salanio what good a pound of flesh will do, Shylock simply states To bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Her top priority in the play was to keep everything under control, she had messed up a few times, but she mainly desires to focus on the important matters to her, marriage and life. She tries to keep a balance and therefore conveys the theme the playwright is conveying. Stella Kowalski is a magnificent character because of the way she goes about the issues that surround her while maintaining her gentle and refined self. Both Stanley and Blanche hold opposition of each other based on their values and backgrounds. Therefore, Stella is caught in the middle of their two diverse worlds that collide, where both Stanley and Blanche try to win her over, but she remains statically passive. Because Adam gave into temptation, he became a bondservant to sin and caused all men to be liable to the punishment of death (?I. The Origin of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 54. Discrimination Against Black Males Finding myself in a place I wasn t supposed to be became the catalyst for realizing the danger I was in from simply being a young black male. Sometimes something as simple as hanging out with friends ends in almost losing your life. I had grown up around kids from wealthy backgrounds, lived in an area with little to no crime, and been raised like any other kid. I wasn t completely oblivious to the fact that i was black, in fact my parents reminded me often that i wasn t the same as the kids I went to school with. Despite being told that I was different, I ignored it, I ignored everything and had the delusion that because of my personal background I was untouchable. When my friends and I decided to go trespass at a school to watch fireworks, no thought in my head told me I was in danger. It wasn t long before we got caught, but when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That situation taught me that no matter where I m from or how much money my family has, I am still black. The system we live in tries to institutionalize us and show us nothing but hate. The problem is not whether the shooter is racist, the problem is that black males are treated as problem well before we are treated as people. I carry these view with me every day and from that point on they have defined my every action. I think twice before doing most things because having this skin color is a challenge, the world tries to see everything that I do as wrong and they try to make me a statistic. The incident taught me that I will always look threatening no matter what I m doing or where I m doing it. It taught me to be cautious, and not to fall into the trap society set for me and everyone else like me the day we were born. To make things clear, my greatest challenge was not this situation, my greatest challenge to this day is being black in our modern society, one that I have to work hard to ... • 55. The Plague Of Athens By The Bacterium Yersina Pestis Introduction Plague is an infectious disease that is caused by the bacterium Yersina pestis. Depending on lung infection, or sanitary conditions, plague can be spread in the air, by direct contact, or very rarely by contaminated undercooked food. The symptoms of plague depend on the concentrated areas of infection in each person: bubonic plague in lymph nodes, septicemic plague in blood vessels, pneumonic plague in lungs. It is treatable if detected early. Plague is still relatively common in some remote parts of the world. Key Idea 1 The first plague talked about in this book is The Plague of Athens . The Plague of Athens was a devastating epidemic which hit the city state of Athens in ancient Greece during the second year of the Peloponnesian War when an Athenian victory still seemed within reach. It is believed to have entered Athens through Piraeus, the city s port and sole source of food and supplies. Much of the eastern Mediterranean also saw outbreak of the disease, albeit with less impact. The plague returned twice more, in 429 BC and in the winter of 427/426 BC. Some 30 pathogens have been suggested as causing the plague. Key Idea 2 The Black Death is thought to have originated in the arid plains of Central Asia, where it then travelled along the Silk Road, reaching Crimea by 1343. From there, it was most likely carried by Oriental rat fleas living on the black rats that were regular passengers on merchant ships. Spreading throughout the Mediterranean and ... • 56. Similarities Between Slavery And Indentured Servants The institutions of slavery and being an indentured servant is different yet similar. Slavery was set up in a way that you were born into it and the only way out was death. Slavery was a system set up that you will be enslaved for life while indentured servitude had an agreement. The agreement was that you work like a slave for three to seven years then you would be given freedom as well as land. When you were a slave and an indentured servantthe treatment you endured was unbearable. They would beat them for any reasons they felt necessary. These could include not picking enough cotton, not responding when spoken too, or even talking back to your master. Many slaves and indentured servants would die due to this treatment as well as other... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the indentured servants ran away or if the women got pregnant then their time could get increased. The masters would take them to court to see that this happened. Women that were slaves or indentured servants received the worse treatment because they were looked upon as weaker therefore they received more abuse including sexual abuse. When masters felt like they could not use the slaves and indentured servants they were sold. Indentured servants and slaves were not allowed to get married. African slaves increased because indentured servants were not good for planters needs and the whites wanted a way to control the outstanding number of African Americans around them. Slavery was based on the African American race and being black made them inferior to all other humans which made slavery a hereditary condition in the world. Slaves were the key commodity of exchange. They were sold as security for debts, for food, war, captives, military recruits, and agricultural laborers. However, the main difference was that slaves worked with no end date, they would hope and pray that they got out of being enslaved, but few got out alive. Although it was possible for some to escape, some were free due to Christian baptism, and others purchased their freedom from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
