Osteichthyes, or bony fish, have bones reinforced with calcium salts, an operculum covering their gills, and use paired fins to move around. They are closely related to land vertebrates. They have specialized body systems and complex organs like eyes supported by bones. 3. Any body of water is good with me. The water supplies the food, and usually is very plentiful. The water also supplies the oxygen for my gills. My fins move me around, but not too far. I don’t move around a lot so you have to love your neighbors.

6. Endochondral bone/“replacement” bone, is cartilage that turns to bone as I mature. Relatively stable pattern of cranial bones, large dermal bones, in short I have bones. My swim bladder enables me to float. I see in C O L O R , unlike most other fish. I have taste buds and can hear through soft tissue to my ears. Diet varies for each species. Over 29,000 species in my class.

7. Looking for a mate that: Loves the water since I can’t live without it. Loves to take moonlight swims. Athletic type: Fast swimmer as your only defense against predators. Loves to spend quality time at home in the reef. Just don’t expect a cozy fire. Enjoys hunting for dinner since it doesn’t come in a box.
