In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems
9
Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

Feedback from AoC Annual Conference 2011
This year’s Conference was the biggest to date and feedback to date has been positive. I hope
that the colleagues from London Colleges who attended the Conference found things to interest
and inform them from the hundreds of sessions on offer. One session which seemed to go
down particularly well this year was a new one, the Policy Update session led by AoC Deputy
Chief Executive, Lesley Davies. As a result of the good feedback we’ve had on that session,
we’ve booked Lesley to come along and give a Policy Update at the Regional Forum on
Tuesday 13 March. We look forward to seeing as many Chairs and Principals (or their
Deputies) there as possible. But we hope to see you long before that, at one of our regional
forums or networks. If you’d like more information about them, the dates of forthcoming
meetings, who attends, what topics are on the agenda, please contact Rebecca Breen and sign
up if you like the sound of them.
Feedback from Marketing Committee
At the Marketing Committee meeting on 9 November the Committee received an update on
WorldSkills work. The overall marketing analysis will be available from AoC National in the
near future and AOC London Region are continuing with WorldSkills Legacy work.
The meeting also received updates regarding student recruitment and londoncolleges.com and
planned the Marketing Managers’ Network event on 8 December.
This event will focus on Colleges in their Communities and also intends to have a session
concerning improving 16-18 recruitment and IAG issues. There will also be an opportunity to
share case-studies and good practice. For further details please contact our office.

WorldSkills UK 2012
Details of the WorldSkills legacy were presented by David Cragg from the Skills Funding
Agency to Principals both at the London event and at the AoC Conference last week. Planning
for the national competitions final to be held in 2012 has already started. Some of the staff who
worked for WorldSkills London 2011 are transferring into the new organisation taking
responsibility for running the event. Exact dates and the venue are yet to be announced, but it
will not be in London. All the additional activities such as showcasing and have a Go will be
part of the event, which will be about half the size of WSL2011. If successful, there will be a
similar event somewhere in the UK every year to serve as a showcase for Vocational Education.
Lastly, a quick reminder that Colleges can bid for capital equipment from WSL2011 and apply
for up to 50% of the cost in the form of a grant from the Skills Funding Agency. The offer is
about to be opened up more widely so hurry to take advantage of it! Details are available at

Student Success Stories of the Fortnight
Uxbridge College Students in Channel 4 Comedy
Uxbridge College students have appeared in an episode of the Channel 4 comedy Pete Versus
Life, starring Rafe Spall.
One episode of the show, which is on its second season, included footage filmed at the
College’s Hayes Community Campus, including in the theatre. These facilities are normally
used by students on dance, drama and production arts courses, as well as for community
events.
The episode features a fashion show, and
around 20 performing arts students were
used as extras during filming.
One media student, Ben Eames, worked
with the production team on various
aspects of the project over the three days,
getting a real insight into the technical
elements of filming for TV.
Two hair styling students also worked with
the production company’s hair and make-
up department, with Katherine Wallis also
being used as an extra – styling hair - in the
