The paper emphasized the need for a TVET quality assurance and a TVET Trainer/Assessors Qualification Standards in the Maritime Industry to ensure the success of the
programs because the continuous training of human resources is the key to success. The paper ends with concluding remarks with five recommendations to MARINA. If realized, the five projected implications and impact of TVET quality assurance and qualification standards in the maritime industry are also advanced.

STCW Basic Safety Training
The STCW Basic Safety Training consists of four courses covering personal safety, survival, medical emergencies, and firefighting. The courses are designed to satisfy the safety requirements for any mariner on any size of vessel. The training was established by the International Maritime Organization in 1978 and has since been revised several times to improve safety standards worldwide for professional mariners. The entire Basic Safety Training can typically be completed over four days and is required for anyone sailing outside of certain boundary lines or on vessels over 200 gross tons.

2017 Rescue Water Craft Conference information
This document provides information about the 2017 Rescue Water Craft Conference to be held in Morro Bay, California from March 10-17, 2017. The conference is organized by Kanalu - K38 and the Rescue Water Craft Association to bring together the international rescue water craft community. It will include presentations on best practices, training courses of increasing difficulty over multiple days with certification available, and social events. Training will utilize Kawasaki jet skis and cover topics like operations, crew operations, surf conditions and instructor qualification. The goal is to share knowledge and prevent accidents by establishing standards for rescue water craft programs.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

Do they have to wear the uniform all the time? Merchant navy officers mainly wear a white shirt and black trousers, along with epaulettes according to the rank on the ship. The uniform is accompanied with black formal shoes and a pullover or sweatshirt during cold climate condition. The cap (P- cap) is a black hod with a white top having an anchor symbol.
- 7. However, while working on ships, the crew usually wears a boiler suit along with personal protective equipment (PPE). The personal protective equipment will change according to the type of ship and kind of work that is to be performed. Officers are supposed to wear the uniform when on the ship’s bridge, mess room or as asked by the ship’s captain. Needless to say, the merchant navy uniform is of great importance and pride and maritime professionals are required to keep the uniform up-to-date and clean at all times. Good bye for now.
