2. NMCI Services (NMCIS)
NMCIS is the Commercial Division of the National maritime College of Ireland and our primary function is to promote
and support all of the college’s activities at our $100 million dollar training facility. Our objective is to achieve and
deliver a quality service to both our existing and future customers. In support of our goals we offer a comprehensive
schedule of professional maritime short courses in addition to our offshore oil and gas courses and our extensive
bespoke capability. All of our clients are trained by quality professional mariners and to the highest standard.
SEFtecNMCI Offshore Ltd. (SNO)
Operating under the umbrella of NMCI Services, SEFtec NMCI Offshore Training Ltd. (SNO) is a Joint Venture Com-
pany between the National Maritime College of Ireland and the SEFtec Group. The SEFtec Group specialise in cost
effective safety training equipment. SNO combines the offshore training expertise of SEFtec with the world class
maritime training facilities at the NMCI in pursuit of standards & accreditation for courses to the offshore industry.
GAC Training & Service Solutions Ltd (GTSS)
GAC has joined forces with NMCI Services to launch GAC Training & Service Solutions (GTSS). GTSS provides cost
saving and innovative training solutions for both seafarers and shore-based shipping and operations personnel in the
petrochemical, gas and commodities sectors. Our vision is to couple the very best in maritime training with solutions
to the demands of the shipping industry, and to provide a portfolio of innovative courses that support both terminal
and jetty operations.
Port of Cork / NMCI Services Partnership
The Port of Cork (POC) and the NMCI have signed a strategic partnership alliance focused on delivering a suite of
courses specifically aimed at the port sector. Cork is the first port in Ireland to offer such training programmes, pushing
the Port of Cork to the forefront of industry training.
Drawing upon the expertise of both professionals and college lecturing staff, the partnership delivers much needed
training to the industry through the use of port facilities and modern simulation equipment in the areas of navigation,
bridge training and crane operations through ‘Krane SIM’.
