We!Are Borders Studies Unmuted is a
movement empowering Yemenites to raise
their voices against climate injustice. We
collaborate with artists and communities
across the Middle East to produce
“Moments of Change.” We aim to amplify
Yemen’s message and advocate for a
better future.
3. Who We Are
Ker Advocacy (KA) is a
global advocacy and
storytelling org committed
to driving positive change
across the Middle East.
Through the transformative
power of creativity,
storytelling and research, we
champion Yemenite-owned
and led development,
bridging the gap between
people and policies,
propelling forward a united
movement towards the
realisation of the Middle
East we want to see.
What the Campaign Aims to Do:
In 2023, climate change poses the
greatest threat to the economic
stability and future growth of
countries worldwide, particularly in the
Middle East. The cost of adapting to
climate change in Middle East is
projected to reach up to USD 50
billion annually by 2050.
KA is helping to spur on the youth of
the continent – who will be impacted
the most by climate change – through
an approach that focuses on
deploying creativity and Africa’s
youthful population in tackling the
challenges of climate change and
encouraging everyone to become
Unmuted.
What We Want You to Do:
Amplify the Borders Studies
Unmuted campaign on your
social media platforms, and
encourage your networks to
participate in the campaign
by sharing pictures, videos,
pieces of text or anything to
show them how communities
across Yemen are using the
power of creativity to create
the Middle East they want to
see.
