This week's window at Chapel by the Sea is called "The Pelican Window" located in the sanctuary. The pelican is an ancient Christian symbol that reminds people of Christ's sacrifice as ancient people believed the pelican fed its young with its own blood during times of famine. The church honored several graduates during last Sunday's service. The Vacation Bible School last week was a success with an average attendance of 53 students and 21 had perfect attendance. Various activities were held including the pastor using water guns to dramatize the parting of the Red Sea story. 97 people attended the closing program on Friday night. Several members volunteered at a soup kitchen in Immokalee to serve migrant farm workers on Wednesday.
