Palm Sunday has often been a significant day in the life of  Chapel by the Sea 2010:  Conclusion of our campaign to raise funds to save  Chapel by the Sea.

This is “E-1” –  one of over 50 columns  under our church. As it appeared in  2004 .

This is “E-1”  Two weeks ago: Devices were  installed  to shore up  the building  for safety. .
This is “E-1”  Last week: Workers removed damaged concrete And cleaned rusted rebar. .
When all  damaged concrete  was removed,  not much was left! . This is “E-1”
This is “E-1” The next step  was to  coat the  metal rebar  with a  special material. The rebar is now well protected! .
This is “E-1” –  Today Last Week: Forms were  put into  place. New concrete was poured .
This is “E-1” Completely  restored! Today From a  decaying  14 inch column-- to a strong  30 inch column! .

Margaret H. "Peggy" Monk,  died at home in Des Moines, Iowa, Sunday, March 21.  She worked with our youth for many years. .
