I am a Landscape Architect with an Architectural Technology background, and have worked
with large corporations in my field, across various industries.
My studies have provided me with strong knowledge of zoning by‐laws, construction methods
and materials for residential and commercial buildings, building codes, site inspection and
project management.
I am currently employed as a landscape architect at Techo‐Bloc, manufacturer of paving stones
and concrete walls. My work involves the architectural and graphic design and construction of
large exhibition displays and the inspection and management of these at distribution centers
and home and garden exhibitions in Canada and the United States. I work closely with various
specialists, such as engineers, architects, and landscapers. I also work independently as a
landscape architect, drawing plans for residential and commercial developments.
Since May 2012, I have been a member of the City of Beaconsfield Planning Advisory
Committee. I am happy to be part of a team of residents to whom it is important to actively
participate in the improvement of the built environment and quality of life of people in our city.
My municipal experience at the City of Ottawa was very rewarding. My duties were to review
the construction and development plans for permit applications for fences, pools, sheds,
extensions, and new residential construction. Also included in my duties were meetings with
residents, treating complaints received, verifying compliance with building codes and zoning
regulations, and performing calculations to ensure the structural integrity of proposed projects,
compliance with setbacks, property lines, building heights, building footprints, etc. I prepared
documentation files for the inspector and emitted building permits to clients.
I have great ability in working in a multi‐disciplinary team setting, providing direction and
support to my team, and working and collaborating with colleagues and consultants.
