DESERTS Deserts are very hot and dry. There aren't many animals or plants. There are a lot of kinds of cactis.
Desert animals are nocturnal:they sleep during the day and hunt at night when the desert is cool.

FORESTS There are a lot of trees and plants and a big variety of animals because there is plenty of water.
FORESTS Forest have got four seasons: Winter, Autumn, Spring and Summer. In Autumn, leaves turn yellow, orange, red and brown. The weather is different in each season.

Arctic and Antarctic Arctic and Antarctic are very cold places where snow is on the ground most of the year.
Arctic and Antarctic Arctic is near the North Pole. Antarctic is near the South Pole. Winters are long, cold and dark. Some animals migrate in winter to find food.
