5. Grizzly Bear
• Big Claws- Hunting, climbing, and digging
• Keen sense of smell- track their prey
• HYBERNATION
• Muscular hump on it’s back- helps it run faster
• They will eat almost anything- plants, roots, fish,
etc.

6. Brown
Bear
• Both the Grizzly Bear and the Polar Bear are a
sub-species of the Brown Bear that have adapted
to living in a different environment.
• Long claws for digging
• Flat teeth- grind and crunch their food not bite
• Likes to eat fish, fruit and insects

7. Polar Bear
• Swim- Large front paws and a long neck
• Largest Bear species
• Eats large mammals- seals, walrus,
• Thick dense fur with an undercoat to stay warm
• Skin is black to absorb the warmth from the sun
• Hunts in both the water and on the ice
• Females hibernate in the winter, not males
