Manager of Team of eight Operation Analysts, Writing appraisals, attending the Daily Change
Management CAB meetings, attending the Install Governance meetings and ensuring handover JCL
adheres to Company JCL Standards.
Still retaining JCL, Endevour, JCLPlus and CA7 knowledge applying daily JCL changes via the Endevour JCL
Management System, also retained as part of the 24 X 7 On-call support Team.
Setting up and executing Parallel Runs of the Production Batch Cycles to ensure the upgrade to Cobol-5
programs would not cause any issues. Part of team assigned to setting up and executing the Disaster
Recovery Test scenarios as well as the migration of the FD Italia platform to the UK Mainframe.
Introduction of Vision Plus account processing system, this was a brand new system to run alongside
current Equasion System. All JCL changes were made utilizing Endevour JCL Management Control system
and Jobscan JCL Manipulation tool, later to be replaced by CA’s version JCLPlus.
Played major role in the Vision Plus system setup requiring new JCL, Building new CA7 Batch Job
Schedules, New Dataset naming conversions with New JCL Suite for Visa and MasterCard processing

3. Client Migrations from the Equasion System to the Vision Plus system. eg Lloyds / TSB and CFS. Boarding
New Client Credit and Debit Card accounts to Vision Plus. eg National Australia Group and New Day ,
Halifax Bank of Scotland was also converted into to the Lloyds Banking Group portfolio.
Team Leader responsible for the Production Support and Monthly Install teams. Expanded to include
responsibility for System Testing as well as User Acceptance Testing and Production. Team consisted of
10 operations analysts, responsible for JCL from Development through to Production. Wrote Company
JCL Standards document detailing the JCL Life Cycle where JCL must be developed in test, Unit Tested,
System Tested and User Acceptance Tested prior to being released into Production Environments.
Attended ITIL V3 Foundation course.
Major Achievements Prior to April 2005 - FDC, Signet, JCCC (Access) – Southend-on-Sea / Basildon.
Worked on major Projects including :- The Stream-Weaver Statement Project , Integrated Chip Card and
the Lloyds/TSB conversion project.
Y2K Project and Test team - involving setting up and executing parallel run testing on a mirror
production system with data advanced to the millennium date.
Senior Analyst on the Migration from the National Processing System to the Equasion Processing
System. This Involved major rewrite of Batch Processing, a complete overhaul of Dataset Naming
conventions, a switch to GDG processing and a complete rewrite of CA7 Batch Processing Schedules.
Also included a six month secondment to Computer Operations to provide ‘On the Spot’ Support.
Setup the Future Test System, a mirror image of the Production System but in the Test / Development
environment. Used for User Acceptance and System Testing containing approx 5% of the production
volume but all the functionality, this also required an extract and feed from production to keep the
Future system up to date. Built new CA7 Batch Schedules, numerous Connect Direct File Transmissions
and a replication of the production JCL in the testing environment.
Team Leader of the Production Support Team, the team consisted of four members including myself. As
well as being responsible for ensuring overnight failures were resolved we were also responsible for
implementing the JCL and amending the CA7 job schedules.
Production Support Team. Responsible for ensuring all JCL issues occurring in the overnight Batch Cycle
were resolved prior to next run. Joined the Overnight Support Rota, part of the team that provided 24 X
7 On-call support.
Played a major role in the DASD migration project and the introduction of the UCC1 Tape Management
System.
