2. What is Android?
Android is a mobile operating system (OS) based
on the Linux kernel and currently developed
by Google. With a user interface based on direct
manipulation, Android is designed primarily
for touchscreen mobile devices such
as smartphones and tablet computers, with
specialized user interfaces for televisions (Android
TV), cars (Android Auto), and wrist watches
(Android Wear). As of 2015, Android has the
largest installed base of all operating systems.
3. Which devices it is designed for?
There are many companies that used
Android OS. like Samsung, HTC, Motorola
and Sony, Acer, Alcatel, Asus, Huawei, LG
and ZTE have all made Android phones
(and tablets) too. Apple, Nokia and
BlackBerry do not offer Android handsets
however.
5. Android Features
- Messaging , SMS and MMS.
- Web browser , Google Chrome and
Applications of other Browsers.
- Voice-based features, Google Voice Search
…etc.
- Screen capture, Android supports capturing
a screenshot by pressing the power and
Home-screen buttons at the same time.
7. Android Features
- Tethering is connecting one device to another.
- Media support Android supports the following
audio/video/still media formats: AAC, MPEG-4
SP, AMR, AMRWB, MP3, MIDI, WAV, JPEG,
- PNG, GIF, BMP.

- External storage Most Android devices
include micro SD slot and can read micro SD
cards formatted with FAT32, Ext3 or Ext4 file
system.
- Java support Most Android
applications are written in Java.
- Widgets, IOS doesn't support this.
9. Google Play Store
- Easy to use, search, rate and comment about
Apps, ignore spelling errors in search box and
show more related results.
- The most Apps are free in Google Paly Store.
- Support Multilanguage.
- Easy to upload your application.
- Published more than Apple store, because it's a
feature in Android and in the same time Android
OS used in many types of devices.
11. Security
Android as an operating system is very
secure. It has multiple layers of protection
to keep malware at bay, and it requires
your specific permission to do almost
anything that could lead to your data or
the system being compromised.
13. Flaws in Google Play store
Harmful apps in Google Play store more
than Apple store.
developers of Apple store are active
more than in Google Play store.
Testing operations in Apple store are more
than Google Play store.
14. Privacy
The level of privacy in Android OS is very
good.
Many methods to protect your personal
content. Like Screen Lock by password,
pin, photo password, fingerprint and
pattern.
A lot of Apps to rise up the level of
privacy.
Fact: There is no 100% level Security.
