Evaluation of photos
The student took photographs for a music magazine during a college photography project. They tried different styles like "girl band look" and "acoustic look" at various locations. Their favorite setting was "The Three Sisters." They edited photos in Photoshop, adjusting brightness, colors, and applying filters. Two final photos are highlighted - one shows a guitarist in a tree, the other shows a model playing guitar with a blurred background. The student aims to improve by capturing more angles and editing more photos next time.

1. For shutter speed, the author adjusted the shutter speed to 1.3 seconds and captured some ghosting effects but the images were slightly out of focus.
2. For out of focus images, the author intentionally did not focus the camera and captured some out of focus shots, with the camera shot being the strongest example.
3. For reflections, the author captured reflections in surfaces like glass and found the gum bin reflection to be the clearest example.
4. For photomontage, the author combined 10 photos of a car into one image from a changed perspective, but found room for improvement in subject
On going evaluations
The document discusses experimental photography techniques. It describes creating multiple exposures by combining photographs of a dog with images of trees and grass to create textures. The strengths of the photos were capturing the targeted topics and using a variety of topics, but weaknesses included not using a tripod and not capturing all planned topics due to limited locations. The student was happy with how the photos turned out but would use a tripod and explore off-campus locations next time to improve landscape shots.
My evaluation
The student took photos for a school project, capturing a variety of topics around the school grounds to make their work more interesting. They used a Nikon camera with a macro lens and monochrome setting, but struggled without a tripod. In their evaluation, the student noted strengths like suiting their photos to topics and completing the task on time, but weaknesses such as lack of a tripod and not capturing all planned topics due to limited locations. They were overall happy with their photos but felt sticking closer to their original plan could have improved the results. Moving forward, the student wants to try different topics and settings, and use a tripod to improve focus when photographing outside of school.

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.

Analyzing my first photographs
- 1. Analyzing My First Photographs By Carley Haynes.
- 2. My first attempt at Leading lines... This was one of my first attempts of trying to achieve a photograph using leading lines. This picture works well because there a several different types of lines. The use of horizontal and vertical and makes the photograph look more attractive and striking.
- 3. First go at Framing. This is one of my first attempts at framing. this photograph in my opinion could have improved its quality if f i used my feet to create angles, or if i got the focus a bit sharper. Next time ill try different techniques to improve the quality of the picture.
- 4. My First Take on Balance. This is one of the first photographs i had taken trying to use the rule of balance. I wanted to find something simple to take a photograph that included this element. i think that the photo does show the rule of balance, but could of used different ways of making it look a lot more effective. I think to improve this photograph i could improve this photograph by capturing better light, and to take it more to the right or left.
- 5. One of My Particular Favourites. This is a photograph that i took, down near the basketball courts at school. I like this photograph especially because of the lighting and the focus on the broken class. This photo also works because of it being taken on a slight angle. I also like the shadow of the trees reflecting in the mirror, this adds a stunning effect.
- 6. Getting the right Focus? This photograph is another image that i really like. Its almost like the leafs are naturally framing the flower. I think the focus on this is a lot better then other shots that I have taken. If i were to make improvements then i would try to get better lighting so its looks sharper.
