THIS WEEK’S WORK IS TWO DISCUSSIONS. Week 6: Social Change and Professional Development
The characteristics of program design and evaluationare intended to provide some level of recommended change or action as a result of the systematic investigation into a program’s effectiveness. Evaluation can provide answers to questions about a program that may be useful in adjusting a program to become more effective. Because evaluation results in insight about the effectiveness of a program for a specific population, evaluation can be used to implement social change or action. Evaluation findings may assist stakeholders (those who hold an interest) or decision makers in go/no-go decisions about specific program modifications or initiate the continuation or demise of the entire program. Today, social policy and public administrative movement are closely associated with social program outcomes and effective evaluations.
This week, you present your design for a program addressing the needs of the homeless population in your community and analyze how your program may effect social change. You also evaluate your potential to impact areas of human services delivery and assess the benefits of participating in professional human services organizations.
Objectives
By the end of this week, you should be able to:
· Analyze how human services program design and evaluation influence social change
· Evaluate personal impact on areas of human services delivery
· Analyze how professional organizations contribute to professional development

It is important to understand that human services are broad in spe.docxADDY50
It is important to understand that human services are broad in spectrum and consist of many types of service delivery, including mental health, child welfare, medical care, public assistance, and corrections. In addition, human services organizations have varying organizational structures. There are different types of funding sources, legislation, and standards that influence how an agency will function to serve the clients in its community. For example, some agencies receive public funding to operate and must follow standards set down by those funding sources when providing services and running the agency. On the other hand, there are facilities that receive their revenues primarily from private funding, commercial insurance, or self-payment from clients and may not have to follow the same guidelines to operate the agency.
In this assignment, you will explore different types of human services organizations and select two types of organizations (for example, health, mental health, child welfare, or education) to draw comparisons between them. You will examine how the related funding sources, legislation, and standards interact with one another to influence service delivery.
Tasks:
Using your textbook, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, complete the following:
In a 3- to 4-page report, address the following:
The history and scope of services of the selected human services organizations
The administrative operations of each agency
The legislation that has influenced the services and type of agencies selected
The major differences between the agency models of service delivery, organizational structure, funding sources, and how they evaluate their effectiveness (for example, outcome measures)
Identify two provisional factors (for example, performance outcome measures) that have direct implications on direct service.
Discuss their effects, positive or negative, on the agency as well as the service provider.
Provide your opinion on the costs and benefits of regulated operational standards on the effectiveness of services.

Week 2 in Review
An examination of Trilogy provided insight into the complexities of various approaches to recruitment -- and the importance of incorporating recruitment into organizational strategies. From an HR perspective, the strategy involves many intra-related and inter-related aspects, such as job description, job analysis, recruitment methodologies, legal requirements, and a planned and cultivated organizational culture. It is all about Hiring Right! It is all about aligning organizational goals with individual goals to arrive at a place where work effort matches work productivity. Culture is the environment people work in, it’s the element that shapes your enjoyment, work relationship and work process. Culture is made up of values, beliefs, underlying assumptions, attitudes, and behaviors shared by a group of people (Heathfield, 2011). The employees at Trilogy all share similar interests and passions about their job, which means that working as a team would not be problematic. Trilogy has created an organizational culture that represents decision making, daily work practice, stories and legends.

AP - Weeks 13-15 Assignment - Designing an Evaluation Plan
Choose a human service agency or program with which you are familiar. It can be the one you have been examining throughout the course or one you wish to examine. Assume that you are either a mid-level manager or an outside consultant and have been asked to do an internal evaluation of the organization to improve client outcomes while reducing costs.
In a 4 to 6 page paper:
Describe the agency in broad terms including its structure, mission, target audience outcome goals, treatment processes used, size of staff, principle funding sources, and geographic location. This section need not be long, but should be complete enough so that the reader has a fairly clear picture of the organization.
Describe your position as you imagine it as either an internal or an external evaluator include such things as who hired you and your own position, feel free to use your imagination. Assess your relative power in the evaluation situation.
Identify the information you will need to conduct a thorough evaluation.
Identify potential sources of information including representatives of stakeholder groups, written records, opportunities for observation, and any other sources of information that will give you a clear picture of the situation.
Identify methods of obtaining needed information from each these sources and give a rationale for using each of these methods. For example note when and why would you use surveys, individual interviews, focus groups, informal interviews for particular groups.
Discuss the steps you will use in gathering information. Where will you start the process, how will you proceed and what rationale will you use for your choice? (For instance, some evaluators begin with the person who hired them or assigned them to the task with the idea that the evaluation should answer the questions posed by that person. Other evaluators take a more exploratory approach, talking with all the stakeholders to compare various perspectives. Still others begin with the clientele reasoning that ultimately the success of the agency depends on meeting the needs of those it serves.)
Discuss problems you may encounter in the information gathering process. For instance, what parts of the organization are likely to resist the process? How will you overcome their resistance?
What ethical dilemmas might you face in conducting such an evaluation.
In what specific ways do you want your findings to be used? Discuss how and to whom you will report your results so that your evaluation has a positive effect?

Dissertation of Service Quality Improvement
A research proposal for a possible dissertation entails keen consideration of peer-reviewed articles to establish the possibilities given regarding the topic. Problems, purpose and, hypothesis of the research are to be established to guide during the research. Planning dissertation research for a business follows a format that gives prospectus clients or supporters a vivid view of the reasons and importance of the research.
Service quality improvement has been a critical issue to most business setting, rendering them to provide poor services. They focus on spending a lot of money on ill- conceived services in addition, undermining the best methods to offer their customers with quality services. In such cases, customers feel unsatisfied and not treated in a manner they would like to be handled. Excellent service is an important approach because customer’s loyalty and satisfaction is improved. Every business should focus on how to improve their services in order to retain their customers and gain more customers.
Customers view value as the profit acquired from the trouble encountered such as unfriendly employees, high prices, services that are not attractive and locations that are not convenient to them. With excellent services, profit maximization of the company is improved and customer’s burdens on non-price issues are minimized. Most business organizations suffer low profit because their services do not meet customers’ expectations. Prior researches have concentrated on how services can be measured and nature of customer’s expectations without considering the service quality improvement factor, in order to improve their profits (Loshin, 2011).
This research will help to identify means of improving service in business organizations. Quality need to be described by the customer, whereby it should conform to his or her specification. Most company’s view quality as conformance to organization specifications and this research will help to solve this problem by identifying the best methods of delivering quality service. This research will help to address the questions on how to respond to customers and taking care of them (Hernon, 2011).
Ethics has become a keystone for carrying out successful and significant research. Due to this, the ethical conduct of individual researchers is under unprecedented analysis (Best & Kahn, 2006; Field & Behrman, 2004; Trimble& Fisher, 2006). Laws Affecting the Agency
Law of discrimination based on the age impacts the agency’s personal management. The Age Discrimination Act of 1967 prohibits the employers from discriminating individuals who are above forty years. In United States, there are penalties and charges for the individual who are involved in discrimination. The act also applies to the businesses, which have more than 20 employees and those operating overseas and interstate. Some of the actions show’s discrimination against age a demoting or fired because they have reached at the age of 40 years. Age discrimination can also come with other factors such as the race of the individual, ethnicity and nationality (Cumming, Dannhauser & Johan, 2015). Age discrimination can bring anxiety and hatred because some of the people feel that they are not valued. Similarly, another law is Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA). The aim of the act was protecting federal employees and ensuring that their rights have been improved and protected. The employers have changed the ways of handling business because of the issue of whistle blowing. It is something, which is very common and the Human Resource Managers have to make ...
Discussion Ethics and StandardsCodes of ethics and standards are .docxlefrancoishazlett
Discussion: Ethics and Standards
Codes of ethics and standards are documents that express the ethical and professional ideals of a profession. They outline the aspirational practices that are expected in a profession but often do not provide explicit guidance on how attainment of these ideals should be accomplished. For instance, in this course, you focus on the National Organization for Human Services’ (NOHS) Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals. Standard 14 states, “Human service professionals are aware of social and political issues that differentially affect clients from diverse backgrounds” (NOHS, 2015). The actions or behaviors necessary on the part of the professional to meet this standard may differ from client to client depending on the cultural background of both the professional and the client, the experience of the professional in working with similar clients, and the resources available to the professional for professional development.
The best use of professional codes of ethics, then, is as a tool to inform ethical decision making by all professionals in a given field. For human and social service professionals, the NOHS standards may be used as guideposts for acting in the most professionally and ethically responsible manners. Dilemmas sometimes arise between standards and laws, or two conflicting ethical perspectives, in which case the standards may be used to minimize ethical harm to those groups to which professionals are beholden.
For this Discussion, you reflect on your professional identity as a human and social services professional and consider how the NOHS standards impact your professional identity, decisions, and actions.
To Prepare:
Review and consider the NOHS website and the Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals.
The NOHS ethical standards are organized into sections based on those groups to whom human and service professionals have professional responsibility and to which the standards should be applied. As you reflect on the standards, consider how they would inform your decision making with each group (e.g., clients, the public, self, employers) within your particular role in the human and social services field. If you are not yet working within the field, consider how they would apply to a future role you would like to hold.
Post
an explanation of how you identify as a human and social services professional (e.g., social worker, gerontology aid, administrator, probation officer, residential counselor). In your explanation, include how your understanding of the NOHS Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals will impact your professional identity, decisions, and actions.

Thank you for the help. This is a final assignment for my course. I .docxfelicitytaft14745
Thank you for the help. This is a final assignment for my course. I have attached all assignments leading up to this final project. I have to stress this, its important that the directions are followed and the attachments can't be pasted or used for this project. The teacher will check and so will I. My social issue is Homelesness. This must be original work and please use the grading rubric as well. Any questions let me know. The attachments can be used as guidance for the paper so use wisely. I understand this is a final project and the amount i'm willing to pay is final and worth it. Thanks again.
The aim of this Capstone Project is to develop a research report integrating knowledge gained from previous submissions that demonstrates your ability to effectively utilize research pertinent to a social issue addressed in some capacity by a health and human services setting. As part of this culminating submission, you will provide a succinct but efficient overview of content areas examined in your written assignments from Weeks One through Four that will aid in the development of an original intervention (i.e., strategy, application, or technique) for human service professionals to utilize for your selected social issue. This model intervention must be of your own design as opposed to a review of an existing practice used to address this issue. You can, however, use your knowledge of best practices to inform your intervention. The Capstone Project is intended to demonstrate your mastery of all learning outcomes related to the B.A. program in Health and Human Services; therefore, successful completion will require reflection, critical thinking, and knowledge of subject matter areas addressed in previous coursework. You are strongly encouraged to refer to the culmination of resources (e.g., textbooks, articles, websites, library resources, etc.) in addition to those provided in the course in the development of your submission.
The Capstone Project will include five components. The first four parts will involve briefly summarizing the main points from each of your previous written assignments. Do not copy and paste content from these submissions.
Part I: Background of Social Issue (Week One Assignment; 1 page):
Describe your selected social issue, its importance, and pertinent background information.
Evaluate the impact of this social issue on the delivery of health and human services efforts (e.g., formal organizational responses by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, resulting legislation, policies, etc.).
Part II: Theory and Research Related to Social Issue (Week Two Assignment; 1 page):
Develop a brief research-based report demonstrating research theory and methodology by analyzing the scholarly literature related to this topic, including theories explaining the problem as well as research studies and their associated methods and outcomes.
Part III: Best Practices Related to Social Issue (Week Three Assignment; 1 page):

Designing and Implementing Service Delivery Models in Research AdministrationApril Heyward
Service-delivery models are critical to the success of the research enterprise. To be effective in service delivery, it is necessary to gather the appropriate data and assess the needs of the researchers and staff. This can be accomplished through regular communication with the target population and actively obtaining specific feedback on all areas of research administration services. Gaining support and endorsement from
upper level management is critical for the success of service-delivery models. It is also important to regularly evaluate the effectiveness of implemented service-delivery models especially as the needs of the target population change and as regulations and requirements change. The evaluation findings can be used to determine if and what improvements need to be made to service-delivery models.

Explain whether you agree with Kant's view that "an action done from duty must wholly exclude the influence of inclination and with it every object of the will, so that nothing remains which can determine the will except objectively the law."
Please be sure to use proper punctuation, and to avoid words and phrases that are vague and general. Aim for precision. Use short quotations from the primary text (the reading below) to develop and support your argument. It is perfectly acceptable to discuss lines or ideas that confused you.
Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals (selections)
Nothing can possibly be conceived in the world, or even out of it, which can be called good, without qualification, except a good will. Intelligence, wit, judgement, and the other talents of the mind, however they may be named, or courage, resolution, perseverance, as qualities of temperament, are undoubtedly good and desirable in many respects; but these gifts of nature may also become extremely bad and mischievous if the will which is to make use of them, and which, therefore, constitutes what is called character, is not good. It is the same with the gifts of fortune. Power, riches, honour, even health, and the general well-being and contentment with one’s condition which is called happiness, inspire pride, and often presumption, if there is not a good will to correct the influence of these on the mind, and with this also to rectify the whole principle of acting and adapt it to its end. The sight of a being who is not adorned with a single feature of a pure and good will, enjoying unbroken prosperity, can never give pleasure to an impartial rational spectator. Thus a good will appears to constitute the indispensable condition even of being worthy of happiness… A good will is good not because of what it performs or effects, not by its aptness for the attainment of some proposed end, but simply by virtue of the volition; that is, it is good in itself, and considered by itself is to be esteemed much higher than all that can be brought about by it in favour of any inclination, nay even of the sum total of all inclinations...
Now an action done from duty must wholly exclude the influence of inclination and with it every object of the will, so that nothing remains which can determine the will except objectively the law, and subjectively pure respect for this practical law, and consequently the maxim that I should follow this law even to the thwarting of all my inclinations… Thus the moral worth of an action does not lie in the effect expected from it, nor in any principle of action which requires to borrow its motive from this expected effect. For all these effects agreeableness of one’s condition and
Watch at least one of the posted videos for Week 10 below.
Dr. Leroy Little Bear connects quantum physics to the Indigenous belief in "spirit," an idea that implies each person's intense ethical relationship to the world. He also reminds us that science is as much a belief system (and value system) as any spiritual tradition. In a similar fashion, Physicist David Bohm (a student of Einstein) wrote a book called Wholeness and the Implicate Order, arguing that our measurements of the physical world provide an incomplete picture of reality, and that there is a non-local, interconnected realm in which everything is fundamentally linked to everything else.
Do you think that "infinite potential" can be left out of our discussion of ethics? You may recall that Kant, in the late 18th Century, left "noumena" outside of human cognition (which only knows "phenomena" or mental representations). In the 1920s, Whitehead questioned Kant's move to privilege reason over feeling, and to cast the metaphysical outside of human knowledge. In doing so, Whitehead offered a simpler explanation of ethics: the world itself is composed of feelings or values (prior to human cognition).
Looking at this question from your own background, tradition, and experience, do you think that we can experience the infinite (and, in it, infinite ethical interrelationship)?
Is it possible that science (as the video "Infinite Potential" suggests) is on the verge of discovering the "field" that connects all things. Ethically, this would mean that your every thought, word, and action affects the whole world. Given such confirmation, would you live any differently?
Conversely, do you think that the absence of scientific confirmation about (and interest in) the metaphysical dimensions of ethics allows us moderns to behave in questionable ways?
Plato's Allegory of the Cave seems to suggest that only through questioning social reality, and improving ourselves intellectually, can we discover the real source of virtue (and be virtuous). Aristotle's notion of phrónesis (“practical wisdom”) seems to dismiss the notion of an intrinsic source of virtue, to emphasize instead that virtue is a practical skill that we develop through practice, which enables us to reliably choose the middle point between extremes in all situations.
Who do you agree with more, Plato or Aristotle? And why?
"Virtue is a state of character concerned with a choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by a rational principle, and by that principle by which the person of practical wisdom would determine it." (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics 2.6)

Some of the ethical concerns likely to be experienced when conducting research are ex.

Whitehead and Dr. Leroy Little Bear both emphasize the ethical implications of interconnectedness. We have seen in this course that moral frameworks from the Age of Reason emphasize knowledge/reason, while alternatives (care ethics, ecological ethics, Indigenous ethics, Buddhist ethics, nonwestern ethics) emphasize wisdom. What is wisdom? The sciences of ecology and quantum physics tell us about interconnectedness, based on careful measurements (knowledge), but can this sense of interconnectedness be accessed through contemplative wisdom?
Do we need an ethics grounded in wisdom?
As a group do you think that, as individuals, we ever experience ethical interconnectedness that is metaphysical or part of "spirit"? Are the brain and the mind the same thing?

The background of the research is the personal and professional experience of the researcher, who has worked in the museum sector in Ireland for the past five years and has recently moved into the university advancement sector. Through this experience, the author has identified gaps within fundraising strategies in Irish museums, which has led to an interest in exploring similar institutions and learning from their strategies.
This background is significant because it provides context for the research question and objectives, along with a personal motivation for the researcher. It also suggests that the author has a deep understanding of the museum and higher education sectors in Ireland, which can be valuable in conducting the research and analysing the results..
Research question and objectives
The inquiry into whether museums should seek guidance from higher education on fundraising strategies presents an intriguing topic for discussion. It is worth noting that both sectors rely on government grants, trusts, and philanthropy to supplement their budgets, among other similarities. However, universities have been fundraising for considerably longer than museums and have even established development offices solely dedicated to fundraising efforts. As a result, universities have developed sophisticated strategies for identifying and engaging donors. There may be valuable insights that museums can gain by examining and adapting these strategies to their specific requirements. The choice of Trinity College Dublin and Chester Beatty as case studies reflects the authors’ personal connection and deep understanding of these institutions, which can provide a rich and nuanced understanding of their fundraising strategies.
