This short film tells the story of a sleep-deprived office worker who discovers a portal while printing paperwork. As his greed grows, he tries to steal money from a safe but ends up locked inside. The lighting in the office is low-key to create a dull, boring mood. As the plot develops and the character's nature changes from hard worker to thief, the lighting gets even darker. The color correction uses blues and greens for a "blockbuster look" that adds to the low-key lighting and creates a sinister, mysterious atmosphere fitting for the narrative.

2. BASIC SYNOPSIS
In this 2minute short film, we
see a sleep-deprived of fice
worker who accidentally
discovers a useful portal
when printing some
paperwork - until his greed
gets the better of him and he
ends up locked in a safe after
trying to steal the money
inside of it.

3. LIGHTING
In this film, the lighting is
mainly quite low -key in the
of fice and we see that the main
source of lighting is the actual
lights on the ceiling, meaning
more work must have been done
in the post-production stage in
order to make this piece look as
good as it does. This low -key
lighting is used to create quite a
dull and boring mood in the
of fice which lets the audience
know that it is a par ticularly
tedious day and this worker is a
physical embodiment of this
atmosphere.

4. LIGHTING
One thi ng that is quite interesting
to see i s that as the narrative of the
film becomes more interesting and
as the pl ot devel ops, the l ighting
becomes even darker, to the poi nt
where it seems as if there aren't
any lights even on. Could this be a
representati on of hi s nature? We
see that as the film runs, the main
character - played by Napoleon
R yan - goes from being the average
worn -out worker worki ng late in the
of fi ce to a greedy and materialisti c
thief ; this transiti on i s quite a dark
one in terms of character and
per sonality, and the lighting does a
good j ob o f representing thi s
change throughout the piece.

5. COLOUR CORRECTION
The colour-correcting in this film
is one of the things that I find
most interesting as they kept it
the same throughout. Commonly
described as the 'Blockbuster
Look', Sansom has mainly used
blues and greens in order to add
to the low -key lighting which
creates a dull and, to some
extent, sinister and mysterious
look . This not only adds to the
atmosphere of the film, but it
suits the narrative of the film
per fectly and generally is a
great look .
